I just got off the phone with my homeboy who works at a major studio. He told me that Oliver Stone is making a biopic on legendary newscaster Jerry Dunphy. Jerry Dunphy is the greatest newscaster of all time and a true inspiration to millions of viewers who watched him nightly. It's been nearly ten years since he passed away and network news hasn't been the same without him. His story deserves to be told and Oliver Stone is just the man to do it.

I haven't seen a major studio blockbuster in the theatres since South Park and this is probably just the thing to get me there.

Who else is excited to see this?

i have fine memories of Jerry, but i'm having difficulty getting excited for a movie about him. Did he do anything strange beyond being the epitome of an anchor man?

He rapidly recovered from gunshot wounds sustained in a robbery. I remember it well, I was 8 years old and sent him a get well card.
