Catholics feel no guilt.

That might be why I don't feel guilty. Or maybe it's because I'm not white. Any of you wanna chime in and explain this guilt thing?

Happy Turkey Day, gunz.

My red rage wants to massacre my white guilt, but instead we just have pie. Maybe there's something to the holiday.

Happy holiday gunz and maroo

It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation.
And it's getting more and more absurd.
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.

I'm sorry I had nothing to do with things that happened before I was even alive?

I'm a convict....
Guilty
Of a racist crime.
Guilty
I've only served...
Guilty
90 years of my time.

Sorry, for something that I didn't do.

There isn't a South Asian guilt thread, so will this will do. We have several job openings at my work right now for some grant-funded positions. I love, love, love my work. Love it. But, I'm quite... amused by the way in which they take, quote, "diversity candidates" so seriously. My workplace and our parent organization are great places to build a career. They're led and populated by thoughtful, intelligent, culturally aware people; the vast majority of whom happen to be white. I mean, like, at least 95% of them are white. When I was visiting the parent org's HQ in Minneapolis our new CEO was giving a speech about the importance of diversity. I happened to look around the room of about 300 people (not the entire org, mind you) at the time and there was me, the black woman in research and my fellow South Asian brother -- he was in IT, of course. We're a little more diverse in the LA office, but not that much more. So, there is a huge focus on attempting to improve that situation by actively recruiting "diversity" candidates. I was in a meeting about that very thing today. Just me and 6 white dudes. I feel kind of bad for white people trying to get jobs with us right now. The people who work here are not foolish enough to hire an unqualified candidate just because of his background, but if there's a very close call, I can guarantee you it's going to the "diversity" candidate.
