Where all my 49ers fans at?

started 1-0 ... UNDEFEATED!!!! Pretty good chance we win the division this year. Which is not saying much considering our competition but I'll take it.

Fun fact - My friends little brother played for Texas Tech and stays in touch with Crabtree. Crabtree says he cant stand Alex Smith. Hopefully they can get past that shit and make it happen this year. Its been too long.

Too bad there isn't an NFL thread in which this kind of masturbation over a shitty team can occur...

SWAG. If we fall into another mediocre season, At least we have Andrew Luck to look forward to.

You would have to be TERRIBLE to get Andrew Luck. Like, the worst team in the NFL.

I was at the game last weekend, fun times. I sure hope that the offense was indeed just playing conservatively or "blue collar" or whatever Harbaugh called it. It was really weak. Our O-line, while not giving up a sack, got no push on running plays. We need to start throwing the ball downfield a lot more to keep quality defenses honest. No turnovers was encouraging though.

The defense was obviously solid, however. Justin Smith and Ray McDonald were in the backfield all day wreaking havoc. Combined with our outside linebackers and as Aldon Smith develops I think we finally have a consistent pass rush this year. A facet of the game we've struggled with mightily in recent years.

The Andrew Luck sweepstakes is over, btw. Seattle has that in the bag. They're Detroit circa mid 00's bad.

I don't know, the chiefs and colts look like they might want a piece of the action as well.

Yeah, sorry Niners fans. As was demonstrated on Sunday, my Seahawks are slightly more terrible than your team. We'll spare no expense to acquire Luck next year and you'll probably hand Alex Smith another contract extension. Football can be cruel sometimes.

Also, I'm fine with having a separate thread for SF. In fact, if all the Raiders fans could start posting in here as well it would make the main NFL thread much more tolerable.

ok that might be a stretch but they will definitly be ahead of the cards at that point.

The niners will be in playoff contention for at least another 10 weeks even if this is their only win, which will also be one more win than the broncos will have all season. Face it. This is the most relevant individual team thread.

TomAz

More like 2-4 is my guess. That's giving them a win in Cincinnati which is generous.

Have you people looked at your schedule? Have you looked at your quarterback? Harbaugh's gonna be trying to make a deal for Tebow by the trade deadline.

The NFC West will be better this year. The Cardinals AND the Rams (mainly because of a more experienced Bradford) have improved in the offseason.

Luckily the rams got slammed by injuries this past week. The only thing standing in the way is one man, Fitzgerald. And he is formidable.

Gribbz

Bradford isn't going to miss any playing time. Jackson probably won't be out for more than a couple of weeks (supposedly).

What about your own team's shortcomings? The 49ners beat a very bad Seattle team. I don't see where all this cockiness is coming from. Must have missed something...

So we have a possible NFC wild card preview next week (depending on if the packers or lions end up winning the NFC north). Who do you like?

NachoCat

"If anybody questioned how good these 49ers (4-1) really were after wins against teams such as the Seattle Seahawks or Cincinnati Bengals, the past two weeks are more telling: a comeback win at Philadelphia and a lopsided home win over the NFC South leaders."

Feels good

That's nice and all, but I'm far more interested in winning games on the field. Ask Philly what being sportswriter champions gets you.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what our defense can do against a wounded Redskin's offense. The left side of their o-line, Tim Hightower, and Santana Moss are all out, and Cooley has been out all season. Their best receiving threat so far, Fred Davis, suffered a second degree ankle sprain last weekend and is questionable. They only had 4 week one starters playing last Sunday. And with John Beck at QB to top it off, I find it very difficult to believe they'll be able to score more than ~13 points topps.
