So I've been hearing quite a bit about how it gets really, hot really early if you're camping. What have people done in the past to combat the heat?

tequila helps with the heat. lots and lots of tequila. the hotter you get, the more you should drink.

I hear sleeping in kiddie pools helps - until the water starts to boil.

thanks for the SUPER HELPFUL advice. My new plan is to lay in the pool, dressed in my flame retardant suit, gun on one hand, and a large mix of tequila, whiskey & hot cocoa in the other. Rage Against the HEAT!

Agreed. I will follow suit.
I was actually wondering the same question though.
I heard someone say they were gonna bring one of those space age looking blankets and drape it over the tent, would that work?
Any other suggestions?

THe best way to beat the heat is with shade. Whatever you can think of to keep yourself shaded is your best defense. Shade canopies, hats, wrap yourself in wet towels. There's more op[tions available if your camping, inside the venue is another story. Water helps too, spray bottles, misters, fans. All you can do is find little things that will make the heat just barelytolerable. Other than that there's not much, just be prepared to be constantly exposed for 3 days.

Wear white clothing. I am tempted to cover myself in foil but I'm not quite sure if that will work...might stick with white clothing....
