It was part of some shitty self indulgent video project from my film school days that was conceived and carried out in less than 15 minutes and was really just more of an excuse to destroy some shit more than anything. It wasn't for school and I didn't actually really do anything with it. It's barely worth mentioning in fact. It sat outside for a really long time and became affectionately known as the "rape mattress" around the house.

In an effort to see as much of The Pacific Northwest as we can before we move back to SF, Erika and I have been visiting various locations around Washington, Oregon and Canada. Earlier this week we rode the ferry to Victoria BC and today we took a short ferry ride and then drove the entirety of the Olympic Peninsula ~ 435 miles. Here are some of our pics, all come from the Makah Indian Tribe's Cape Flattery trail, which is America's furthest northwest point except for the fourth pic, which is of Lake Crescent:

^ Very cool, I don't have much interest in flying, but I have an affinity for open cockpit planes and especially biplanes.

Erika's Grandfather was a private pilot with his own plane, so she grew up in small planes. She absolutely loves to fly, so before we leave Seattle, we are going to take a float plane ride around the Puget Sound :)

Yea I did hydro for a few years, but now here where I am, I can grow a little outdoors. It still is not a good idea to put a big sign up eh. Anyway this is actually my first soil grow so 3 days a week they get the great outdoors, and the other days, its hid. So I just have been checking ph and doing the foxfarm thingy, if you have any good ideas, I am always open for suggestions. As far as watering: I have one of those cheap ass things and it usually says the soil is too wet. sorry for the digression ...

Seriously. I was reading about it the other day, almost started a thread. The entire sink hole scenario freaks me out.

When I was in the third grade, we had a day off school because of an, approximately 10' diameter x 3' deep sink hole in our baseball field. The playground are was closed for pretty much the resat of the week until the area was secured.

I thought they were awesome sidewalk art, glancing at the thumbnails. Then I read the headline.

Just be aware that they are building a new reptile house and a new elephant exhibit (so you won't be seeing any elephants), so there are a couple construction zones, but it's not too bad....be prepared to do a little uphill climbing too...all in all, we got there at 10:30am and didn't finish everything until about 2pm. It's a cool way to spend 3 hours or so on a weekend I think. The gorillas were great.

Wait! I never knew of this place's existence. In 06 and then this past Coachella, I left both a pair of way over-beat up sneakers and the worst ratty faded University of Minnesota hat just sitting in the middle of the campsite on Monday morning after the fest... kinda like a donation to the gods. I remember walking around in an entire BIG DOG t-shirt store once. Literally at least 1-00 unique designs. The store was FULL of people, some buying 5 or 6 shirts. I was very confused. It was interesting in an anthropological study kind of way.
