Am I the only one who noticed this/is willing to give this props? Service was spotty in the Sahara and at a few random points in the middle of the field, but compared to 2010 I thought the text message delay was nothing and it made it MUCH easier to meet up. Good job Goldenvoice :-)

It was so nice not to have my phone blow up at 6:30 in the morning with 18 messages all saying "MEET AT THE BEER TAINT LETS PARTY" from other years. Huge improvement.

The multiple phone charging blocks with their own attendants were also a huge improvement that hasn't been getting that much praise.

The charging situation in the smoking lounges was the way to go. Also, those lounges were pretty awesome in general, even if you don't smoke. Well ventilated, cool and comfy.

Not sure if it is a factor of service versus attendance but Madeline is right. And we should be thankful. Let's hope 12 will be as good.

This At this point, I don't even care how long it took to get make this happen, I'm just glad it did.

But my service was shit this year, just like it was last year.... But then I'm on t-mobile unfortunately

It still sucked. While it may have been better than last year... but when I was getting texts at 3AM late Sunday/Monday morning asking me if I still wanted to meet up for Duck Sauce, I would generally call that a fail.

All of our texts were all pretty much instant, so much better than last year.

I was able to text/call with no problems this year. As were in the middle of the mainstage crowd, in one instance, I was was able to text my cousin and tell her where we were, and were able to do that instantaneously. The reliability was so good I hadn't even thought about it until just not. Good job, indeed.

Phone died the first day, Lot 5 had a charger near the restrooms I saw people sleeping by and just standing. I figured it would be best not to waist time charging a phone, it's always nice to leave reality.

3g was spotty at best, i had that shit turned off to try and get longer battery life. i just wasn't willing to make keeping my phone charged a priority.

My service was much better this year. Only had a few delayed texts. My phone died much faster at Coachella than it does at home, but heat supposedly kills your battery faster. I used it at about the same frequency as I do at home.

I only had a few problems in the middle of crowds. Usually in between sets when most people were texting and calling. So much better than last year though. I was going through a near breakup and it didn't help that I could only respond once every two hours.
