I think 20% of the crowd was Aussie. And i liked it. Yall know how to have fun, and be friendly and approachable.

It was closer to 2% I believe if I remember that CAMP booklet that they handed out.

Truth! I even met Aussies stopping on the drive home. In fucking Barstow!! They asked me what Panda Express was. :) I told my girlfriend that we really do have to visit there after meeting all of these cool people at Coachella.

Also: Cut Copy and Tame Impala both destroyed.

Totally, 2 of my top 5.

I also met so many Aussies and Canadians this year. I liked how I heard one girl say "they make me proud to be Australian!" when Cut Copy finished.

Haha I even met a Canadian in the beer garden who was travelling with a bunch of Aussies!

If it was only 1.98% then they must have all been in El Dorado...that campsite was half Australian, I'm barely even exaggerating. Every one of them was so outgoing and so friendly, and they partied ridiculously hard. Aussie flags everywhere.

there's a strong aussie contingent at coachella every year.

I loved the Aussies!!!! I saw some Aussies make a stage just for Mumford & Sons and Kanye in the Campgrounds.

Just down the street from Camp Canada and two streets down from the upside down Aussie flag, good times.

travelled from melbourne to see coachella and wasn't disapointed at all. everyone was really friendly, felt like i was exotic even though we were every where.

and the variety of australians was great too; felt like i was at home! same ridiculous heat and all.

Weird, I met a lot more Brits than I did Aussies. Both were ridiculously nice people though

I posted this in another thread as well, but I'd like to thank the group of Aussie's that wouldn't let me pass on the way back from the bathroom without a shot or slap/swig from a wine bag.

They are Aussies? Some old dude asked me where they were from and I thought I remembered hearing Australia, but I told him to google that shit cause I wasn't for sure. I think after seeing their set, one could surmise, they are not from this planet at all.

I got some hot Aussie bum rubbing action during the Thursday night skating/dance jam at the Down & Derby. Good way to start the weekend!

Our Aussie neighbors kept pissing between our tents. When we would confront them, they would just deny it, as if a man standing there with his dick out can't be seen by the human eye. Also one of them set up a pup tent on my space, blocking one of my car doors.

The Canadians on the other side were lovely though.

yeah one of my friends got some footage of an australian guy running around naked and tea-bagging some poor girl at the outdoor theatre.

unfortunately not all australians are party friendly

Before Coachella we posted a thread looking for wacky Aussies to camp with us. Best decision ever! Ollie, Chess, and Alex completed our crew. They even stayed with me in sd after Coachella. We will see you next year!

they're like rednecks to the americans, hosers to the canadians, and fundermovas to the south africans.

I was lucky enough to camp next to about 15 Aussies and 6 Canadians. We all combined sites and compared the differences in our cultures. My girlfriend and I had a blast partying with them. I also found out fanny pack means something else in Aussie...

Aussies were rampant and doing all kinds of things. I was right by the ones cracking eggs and tossing them into the air for people to catch, not knowing it was definitely gonna break.

We ended up TPing their van and sitting on their throne under the flag for a photo op.

My friend fell in love with an Aussie! Well, a lovechella relationship was formed, but probably like most, she forgot all the important details about him.

Any of you on here happen to have camped in Tent Camping/Lot 13 on the corner of Street 6, closest to the portapotties? I think his name was Ben? Could totally be making that up though

He's the dude sitting right behind the trash cans. I never laid eyes on him, but he has a mustache as well, maybe?
