It's a Honda, thus it will run forever!

yeah. It may not look like much in like 6-7 years, but it will still be running just fine.

go for the hybrid or something better than LEV at least. the Toyota Prius is a PZEV.

I love the Fit, you can't beat it for the money. I tested a broad range of cars last year when I bought mine. The Fit was a good buy. I also liked the GTI, Prius, Mini Cooper (although the interior sucks), Rav 4, the Subaru Forrester, and the Mazda 3 5 door.
I bought an Audi A3 and I absolutlely love that, although the sticker is a bit more, the quality difference of the fit and finish is very noticable. Its perfect after the first 8000 miles, and with the nice weather today I get to finally use the dual sunroof!

Honda = great re-sale value and runs pretty much forever without any significant problems

i looked at the Xa, hate it. Looked at the Nissan Versa = maybe, and I don't like the Toyota Yaris. I don't like the Yaris and Xa because the gauges are in the middle of the car and I hate that. It's to weird.

Hondas are dependable cars. if you like the car, then it would not be a mistake for you to buy it.

Yup, I tested the Mini too, and was a little disappointed before deciding on the Mazda 3. A year later, I still loves it...

I'll be a woman and get a foreign car that will last. not a crappy ford.

A Mustang will last its way 10 tons over your bloated skull and steal your hooch then disappear never to be heard from again. Pravda.

I think it's really cute, of course, but doesn't get great gas mileage.
We have 2 Honda Insights that are ULEV, and get about 60 MPG.
I got mine when they first came out, 6 years ago, and it looks brand new.
We have traveled alot in them, and I just can't say enough good things about them!
We got the second one used, I think the guy selling it was too insecure
to have such a "dorky" socially concious car, but you can often find pre-owned
for cheap. People think they aren't safe in them, or some bogus thing.
I don't think gas is going to get any cheaper, and I'd rather spend my money on something more fun.
Just a thought.....!
