definitely top 5 for me this weekend. the balance of mellow ambiance and driving rhythms was just what i needed.

his was the only performance that came close to making me feel the way i felt at fever ray last year. and the screens showing the sunset behind the ferris wheel during the set? done.

I believe the real sight was what Anders was doing on his setup. It is such a weird mix of instruments, but he uses it all to create that amazing, driving and incredibly deep and layered music.

Couldn't agree more!!! This set was legendary, i'm still speechless after witnessing it. Absolutely LOVED the crowd (maybe the best of the weekend along with cut copy), the energy was immense and it was an all-out dance party. THANK YOU TRENTEMOLLER!!!!!!! Hot damn that shit was FIRE!!!!

Undeniably the best set of the weekend for me. My first Coachella too.

It was like the wind was a part of his set at times, and that harmonica was the one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

I managed to watch about 5 songs before Duck Sauce and they were all phenomenal. Definitely one of the highest level electronic music performances of the weekend for sure. I think maybe I would have preferred to see him in an intimate, headline setting, though. There's just so much else going on in the festival at the same time that it can be hard to give a performance of that quality the attention and appreciation it deserves.

Does anyone remember the setlist?

I know they opened with The Mash and the Fury.

Other songs I remember hearing:

Moan
Silver Surfer Ghost Rider Go
Take Me Into Your Skin

I think I heard Sycamore Feeling but I can't remember too well.

I just went though all of the sets I saw and I'm going to say that Trentemøller was definitively the best one, in my opinion. The exaltation after and during every song was not matched at any other sets I witnessed. I saw Ratatat afterwards and the greatest cheer from one of their songs did not even come close to matching the smallest cheer at the end of one of the songs during the Trentemøller set. The Ratatat crowd looked bigger too...

As best as i remember:

Miss You
Take Me Into Your Skin
Moan

and he ended with The Beat from the Royskopp - What Else is There remix. no vocals

I'm not sure about the middle part.

EDIT: Vamp was in there.

I only knew 2 tracks and wasn't sure what to expect, so I was just following the hype when I chose to see them. I loved every damn second, it was just magic. More than 1 person stopped me to ask who the band was. I guess I looked like I know what's going on.

Trentemøller was fucking awesome. Such beautifully intricate, haunting music. Perfect set for that time of day. And in addition to the sunset, how about that awesome breeze that gusted through the back of the Mojave about halfway through his set? After such a scorching weekend it was like the best kind of air-conditioning I could think of. That's when I knew it was gonna be a good night. Mojave owned.

I had very high expectations going into this and was absolutely blown away! I really believe this set was as perfect as possible. As far as I see it, Trentemoller fucking painted that pristine sunset and blew us away simultaneously with the desert wind ushering the sweet sounds and epic energy in a wonderful whirlwind of ecstacy under the sacred canopy of the Mojave. I have never jumped around so passionately and experienced such a deep spectrum of emotions all at once in my life, not to mention all the while sober. My cell phone definitely flew out from my pocket at one point and I'm sure was crushed to oblivion as it was never to be seen again, and my only reaction was "what a perfect way to lose my phone!" as devastating as it was. Trentemoller owned Sunday for sure, and possibly the weekend (with my conflicting reverence for Beardyman but I can't compare the two) and the trifecta of Trentemoller=>Ratatat=>Leftfield couldn't have been any better! I wish I had more than half an ounce of energy left to rage to Presets to end the weekend but Trentemoller alone literally left me hunched over panting like a dog! Thank you Anders, you are an electronic legend and a God! and Thank you Coachella! P.S. if anyone has or knows the whereabouts of my phone, please PM me, thanks!

Started the set in the tent near the left side of the stage, but moved out from under the tent after looking back & seeing that sunset. I snapped some pics & then turned to go back into the tent, but then I saw that huge moon rising behind the stage. My wife and I sat outside the tent & just enjoyed the moment of having the sun setting behind us with the seemingly full moon rising in front of us, all while watching Trentemoller. It's these kind of moments that make Coachella so special.

Managed to get the rail for this show. My mushrooms were kicking in and was starting to get a little anxious. They started performing and all feelings of anxiety were taken away, buried underground while I orbited Mars. Also, I'll put these photos here.

I had lots of room around me near the back, but honestly, it was like that at nearly all the performances I saw, which was a godsend.
The only performances I saw that were really crowded were Cut Copy and Ratatat.

Right behind the soundboard is one of the sweetest spots in my opinion. It sounds great and there's generally tons of dance space.

Hard to say - I was up in front, maybe 5-6 rows from the rail, and it was pretty packed there, but the crowd was the nicest crowd of the weekend, even so.

Seconded! And then Ratatat and Leftfield right afterwards on the same stage? Trentemøller really knew how to build that set as well, as a guy I met just before Leftfield wisely noted. Ratatat was great and Leftfield were epic, but Trentemøller was one of the most amazing surprises for me.

For the worst Coachella I've been to (and this was my tenth), that set reminded me why you just suck it up and go.

this set encompassed everything that is special about coachella to me. i had my friends there, a crowd that was going nuts, an artist that was feeding off that energy, the sunset in the back drop and generally this feeling from start to finish on complete and intense focus.

and when it was done it felt complete but nevertheless left the crowd yearning for more. there was not even a flash of a thought about which set was next or what else was happening. completely present in the moment. twas one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had at this festival.

thanks to you crazies for getting the eff down and now a HUGE thanks for this wonderful recording of the set that's currently inspiring me to write all this sappy crap.
