So first, their set was awesome. Conor Oberst joining them was an amazing surprise(see picture below). But does anyone know what the deal was with the horn players were that joined them at the end? They had to be from another band right?

Jesus. I had no idea the guy in the coat was Conor.

What Tom? You're crazy. The fact that Conor joined them pissed me off. He didn't add anything to the set and people seemed more excited about his cameo than The Felice Brothers' set. Lame. I'm also not really into this more electric harder sound of theirs. Give me my folk back damnit.

How am I crazy for not knowing the guy in the coat was Conor? Not following.

Oh, I don't know. He just seems really recognizable to me. Being tiny and all. And everyone was going nuts over him.

I got there late and stayed in the back.

I agree with you, I like their acoustic sound better.

Well, that makes sense. I was on the rail next to this bitch that told me I'm not a real fan because I haven't been keeping up with their latest look and sound.

I've never understood the "you're not a real fan" line. It's like you're supposed to turn off your brain just because you joined the team or something. Your appreciation of their earlier work being somehow diminished by the fact that you don't think the later stuff is as good.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one who was surprised by their set. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. It wasnt' bad though, I don't think.

Yep. I appreciate loyalty, but not blind loyalty. I've definitely seen cooler shows of theirs. I was impressed by James and his trimmer self, though.

Did anyone up front notice Kirsten Dunst and Mumford and Sons in the VIP section? It was funny, Mumford and Sons had just played and knew all the words to their set.
