Last year the message boards were filled with "we want Arctic Monkeys".... not really sure what happened, it does seem like they're attracting hate this year.

Maybe because NME rated their album the second greatest of all time, which is just outrageous. Good album, but by no means that good.......

Why do you guys even take NME that seriously ?

I'd love to see them indoors but I'm not flying back to PDX till the 2nd. No way I'm going straight to a show from the airport.

AM are very tongue in cheek and their insight on life (in their world) is very clever. I like them a lot.

I'm off to see them tonight in Exeter. Seen them live twice before and they were great both times - will report back on how the new songs are working out tomorrow.

No Denver. And I don't think I'll see them at Coachella if the rumors of them closing the 2nd stage are true (Playing the same time as Bjork I imagine).

I love love love them. Caught on to them early (like summer 2005 early) so I got to see in the US at small venues (one was 150, the other 600) before they got big-ish. I will def be in the front at Coachella and at their SF gig.

I am very much impressed with the new-ish bassist as well. Besides the fact that I would tote do him in a heart beat I think from the leaked songs I heard he has a different flavor than the other dude and is WAY better to look at.

The Exeter gig last night was great. Alex Turner was much more talkative between songs than I've seen him and the new tracks are sounding good - especially Teddy Picker and If You Were There, Beware. Played for about 1 Hr 10 Mins and set was largely the same as posted above from Southampton the night before. Really looking forward to seeing them again at Coachella.

Seattle, OR... that's a fun town. ;) I went online to get tix for the seattle show, and sure enough, it's sold out a month early.

You kinda have to ignore the hype that goes along with the arctic monkeys and just take them at face value. As for NME giving them the second best album ever, or whatever bollocks they came up with, im with MarkO on this one. The NME talk out their arse consistently, ignore them too.

I love the arctic monkeys and im well excited to be seeing them. Bring it!
