it should always just be fall back. just keep falling back until we miss a day. springing forward sucks.

Especially when it's on a weird day

Yeah. I woke up and logged on, and suddenly, it's one hour forward.

Yeah!
Daylight savings time can go suck diarrhea through a straw.

Today is a fucking pushover. We have a 23 hour day, just because some day last fall had to greedily take an extra hour, and today just let it walk all over it.

Today needs to grow a pair.

I kind of like how it cut my shift down by an hour.

Hannahrain

i kind of dislike how i haven't even gone to bed yet, and it's rubbing it in by jumping ahead an hour.

but at least it did something nice.

We don't have to change. (but my work hours change)

i understand why DST works. I don't understand what's gained by 'falling back' in the winter.

me neither....i miss living in Saskatchewan where time changes are blissfully ignored

Hi, I'm a link to a website with weird and wacky (even, perhaps, zany) fun facts about DST. (http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/k.html)

I had to stay up because I was afraid my cell phone wouldn't catch the earlier time difference and my alarm wouldn't go off. I say fuck DST.

I'm sooo sleepy.

i witnessed a near riot last at the corner market. most of the beers would not scan through at 1.45, as the register computer had already jumped forward. i barely got out of there alive with a newcastle and a fun dip. others were not so lucky

Congress passed this stupid measure to start DST earlier because they're too incompetent and afraid to pass real legislation to deal with our energy crisis.

Australia already tried this and it didn't make any difference in energy usage.

The winter time is closer to local solar time so it is better for our body clock. Folks just moved from Pacific Standard Time to Pacific Daylight Time.

We just always stay on Mountain Standard Time.

waking up hung over on a sunday is terrible enough
but with one less hour of sleep, it was unacceptable...

Haha. He said "fun dip."

i keep telling this to people.....what's the point of putting airguitarvet on ignore? you already know what he wrote.

it's sunday. as long as you didn't have work, you could wake up any time you wanted to.

or as long as you weren't on a schedule with shit you needed to get done on sunday that you couldn't do at work the whole week.

At least the sun's out longer now. I've hated getting out of work to a sunless world. It felt like my life was accelerating.

are you talking about the clock that's overhead or the clock that shows up on the little onboard trip computer thing?

I noticed that the time on this message board has not yet changed to reflect DST. Someone's computer needs to update the time.

my cat is a polydactyl and this morning when i was getting ready for work he jumped on me and climbed all the way up my legs. all 6 or 7 of his toes dug into me so the scratches form the perfect shape of a cat paw. it was pretty funny. maybe i will post a pic later.
