yeah no kidding. SMS is such an obvious choice i'm amazed no one had it yet. it's the best concert movie i've ever seen by far.

I also like the Woodstock movie. even though there are hippies and lots of em.

And The Last Waltz? no one likes that one?

Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads and Born To Boogie by T. Rex (but get the deluxe edition). Also, the Woodstock Movie and Monterey Pop movie are fantastic (make sure you get the extended cut of the former and Criterion version of the latter).

yes the monterey pop multi disc on criterion and gimme shelter are essential. Stop making sense is getting the criterion treatment next year which i think is appropriate.

Actually it's pretty weak, their first DVD was much better. I was expecting songs from different venues, not one show. Boooo!

Where? There's no mention of any of that besides Salo on Criterionforum.org or on their site. This is the first I've even heard a rumor Criterion was picking up Stop Making Sense and I have a mental condition which causes me to read a DVD forum every day. And yes, I see you on there DeltaSig. Nice Myspace.
