Instead of seeing Godspeed You! Black Emperor's first NY show in 8 years (only reason I missed was because of the venue they picked "Terminal 5" definitely the worst venue in NY), I caught James Blake's show last night in Hipsterville and it did not dissapoint. He was accompanied by a guitarist and drummer and totally captured everyone's eyes with his delicate voice and beautiful electronica arrangements. It's pretty early in the morning to be writing so I won't go into too many details. He played mostly his whole debut album along with older tunes clocking in at about 55 minutes. I'm sure next time he comes back here in May, he'll play little longer but I was pleasantly surprised to see hipsters not talking between songs (tends to happen a lot here in Brooklyn/New York). Anyway I took couple videos but here are two so far.....

Enjoy:)

P.S. Tonight starts four consecutive nights of Godspeed!!!

I've had many jolly good times at Terminal 5. That being said, for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, it is not an ideal venue.

Based on your videos, it seems that they were too busy talking during all of the songs and used the in-between to catch their breaths.
