hey guys,

i imagine this has been answered somewhere, but this year is my first coachella, and was wondering whether i can take a guitar into the camping area? i realise they're restricted in the main festival area but wasn't sure about camping.

Don't listen to these morons, bring your guitar. There's always some assholes who will try and discourage you, to hell with them.

I thought everyone was given a complimentary guitar once you show your wristband. I've been practicing mariachi songs so I can 1up El mariachi Bronx during their set.

So everyone who brings a guitar plays it badly and at odd hours of the night? It's a music festival. Stop trying to discourage creativity. I've met some damn good players over the years.

I own over 30 guitars. They all stay at home.

THANK YOU.

I have a bunch of guitars, drums, classical wind & string instruments, didgeridoos, tens of thousand of watts of touring PA equipment, etc. it stays at home. and do you really want to leave a guitar in the campground while you're partying?

No, don't, because I have 0 desire to hear any acoustic guitar not played by a professional during hours that I am not sleeping off full days of raging and substance abuse.

I don't want to hear your original composition of barre chords, I don't want to hear you cover Pink Floyd, Bob Marley or the Dead, I definitely don't want to hear you sing, etc.

I'm looking for a cheap banjo to bring. I'm not very good but maybe we could jam?

Theres a chance a guitar might warp because of the intense heat in a car. I wouldnt trust keeping my guitar in my tent either.

^ They did not let us bring in the hammer last year. We tried using tent poles but it sounded like a snare drum and wasn't loud enough. Couldn't find a crutch to take.
