Easily the mosh pit is going to be at One Day as a Lion. Rage has some of the craziest mosh pits and their fans travel very well. I bet you some people will be going just for this. Add some uppers and it's going to be crazy. I just hope they don't play while the sun is up too high in the air. An evening set would be much safer.

I can't believe there was a mosh pit in the crowd for Beardyman at Reading. I hate shit like that. Metal/punk shows, absolutely, get your pent-up aggression out. But anything else, please leave me alone. I see mosh pits at the stupidest shows. People were moshing during NERO a few weeks ago in SF, so ridiculously dumb.

It was Eagle rock...there were at least 100 people there....there were only a couple dudes up front who were banging their heads, the rest of us pretty much just stood there. It's really not mosh pitting music like Rage is, plus they don't cover Rage songs (at least not during their first couple of shows they did).

I agree, stupid mosh pits are the worst. When I was watching The Black Keys set at Lollapalooza 2008 some how a mosh pit formed. This was around like 4 in the afternoon too. Me and my friends were all looking at each other going "wtf?"

DFA 1979 during "You're a woman I'm a machine" I'm going to go crazy. Might be the only set during the weekend where i wont want my gf around.

The main thing that i hate about pits is that one bitch who thinks she can throw elbows and fists all over the place because shes a girl and she knows guys wont do shit back to her. But then again i like seeing the girl that eventually puts that bitch back in her place.

I am totally down!!! Last year I skanked to the Specials and was disappointed that only four others were with me. I'm sure others around in the crowd were doing the same. We need to get a designated spot to meet up right before the Aquabats and all go in at the same time and start one huge skank-fest!!

I think everyone should re think their expectations for the Aquabats set. They may play some ska, but the majority of their set will probably be more straight rock. I hope I'm wrong. They should just play the fury in its entirety.

Hm, yeah probably. I wish I could've caught them with RBF this past tour to see what might be expected at the festival. I hope, as a gift for the Coachella attendees, we get a special gift such as Powdered Milk Man! I would be very happy with Attacked By Snakes as well.

Shit is gonna pop off during Flogging Molly. I'm kinda hoping they play the main stage, but that's just me.

As for other pits, Gogol will definitely have a huge one, OFF! will be sick, probably one for Lightning Bolt and I think there will be pits during DFA1979.

Flogging Molly?

YES! It's been almost 10 years since I last saw this band. I'm really hoping for no conflicts this year, because there's always a fucking conflict for Flogging Molly and since I've seen them before I always go for the band I haven't. But I have been in a pit since just after high school and it'd be fun to jump in again

Yeah but come on this is not the same thing. 100 people in a record store is not the same as playing at Coachella.

And I completely disagree that they are not "mosh" music. I am not saying it's exactly the same, but at least two of the songs sound like they could be ona Rage album. I bet you they cover one Rage song.

I think mosh pits are stupid...even people that are huge in the punk scene, like Ian MacKaye, absolutely hate mosh pits. I'm all for dancing and whatnot but running around and pushing people is just retarded.

If you like to mosh and you don't go to Lighting Bolt you are crazy.

I've been wondering about this for a while. Haven't seen them live yet, have heard amazing things and like their recorded stuff well enough, but have a really hard time picturing how I could move around to their music for more than a couple minutes without beginning to feel like an insane person. Granted this might just be a personal problem between me and the genre (have had similar problems with No Age), but am hoping to be to be persuaded just based on what I do like about their albums and what I have heard about their live show. But even in that video it seems like people thrash around for a minute or so and then what. Not denying their music's awesomeness, just feel like given the state I'll be in, I might need something with a lil more direction to it to be able move around to.

Circle pit for DFA 1979

nothing will compare to the pit/hardcore dancing last year during Dillinger Escape

Bloody Beetroots will have one cause they will probably throw down some Rock/Metal and/or remixes of the nature.

Possibly some DnB ones too.

LET'S DO THIS!
