Ariel Pink was pretty great when I saw them open for The Flaming Lips last year. The people I talked to were pretty split about them though. A few really liked them, a few hated them... and most were jut weirded out.

Also, it should be noted that Ariel seems bring a different persona out to different shows. I've seen don't give a fuck Ariel. Wild and crazy Van Halen Ariel. Stoner hippy Ariel. He could show up to Coachella bald and wearing Levis.

You'll have a blast; I was able to go to a taping back in February and, despite a bunch of crappy guests (i.e. Dennis Leary, Ice Cube, and some comedian from Australia) it was a lot of fun. The only potential issue you may have is getting there on time; we had to check in no later than 2:30, so make sure to leave the campground early on Monday morning!
