My fear is to be stuck with a bunch of professional old people RV travelers.

My crew of 4 gals and 3 guys will be at either...

this place (Outdoor Resorts Motorcoach Resort & Spa)
http://www.outdoor-resorts-indio.com/Rentals.htm

or this place (Shadow Hills)

Come to Shadow Hills RV Resort. Coachella is welcomed and we have special rules for the weekend. Last year Shadow Hills RV Resort had over 500 who stayed in tents. The clubhouse will be open this year to stay cool. New sound system around the pool. Pool will stay open till 2am and food is served after the concert.

Three years ago we rented an RV and stayed at what I believe is the county fairgrounds. It was where many of the food service workers and other concert goers were staying. They even had a shuttle to the concert and back. We are borrowing my grandfather's RV this year and are looking for an R/V park with a shuttle--can't find info on the county fairground this time. Does anyone know if any of the RV parks mentioned in this thread have shuttles to the concert grounds?

ive stayed at shadow hills a couple times and i would recommend it. although looks like they have made it even better since i stayed there in '05 and '06. there was no official pool parties after the show back then, just a few drunk people in the spa. was way cheaper back then too. looks like they finally figured out they could cater to the coachella crowd and cash in at the same time. its worth it though, the place is pretty nice.
