I'm guessing there is going to be a massive Aussie contigent to see the Stones for a couple of reasons....

1. They are effin Awesome
2. From my understanding pretty unknown in the States.

Any Aussie here pumped to see them??

No love for Cut Copy, Empire of the Sun, The Presets or Gypsy & the Cat?

Love for all of them Elmo and am especially pumped for the psychadelic sounds of Tame Impala however The Stones are my faves out of the Aussie contingent and playing Sunday so I'm expecting a big crowd of Aussies there for that!

My friend from Australia is attending, she's super excited for Fat Freddy's Drop, Tame Impala, and Cut Copy.

Really...

Actually I think they're boring as shit and I'm Australian and I'm going.. apart from Cut/Copy the Australian contingent is pretty dull...

But it's not like I'm travelling halfway across the world to watch bands I could see at the Annandale or Spectrum...

Angus and Julia MOAN.

They are boring.

Cut Copy, i can deal with.

Tame Impala would want to have improved their live show...out of sight for the last time i saw them, they were awful.

Paul T should've got Eddy Current Suppression Ring...

Anyway!

i'll be catching cut copy for sure, and most likely the presets and gypsy and the cat. empire of the sun are boring live. i would have rathered coachella book nick littlemores first band, PNAU instead. Now they are AMAZING. but i guess pnau probably arent as well knows as EOTS in the states. And dont even get me started on the stones. you couldnt pay me to see them they are soooooooo depressing. im still dirty they won the hottest 100. fuck.

May see Tame Impala, Cut Copy & A&J Stone if they don't clash but none are really any good. Presets and EotS are bloody terrible live and on record. If we can borrow some Kiwis, Fat Freddy's Drop are better than all of them. Agree that ECSR is a much better advertisement for Aussie music. I was a bit upset in '09 when the Drones were in California during Coachella and didn't get a call-up...

oh and not huge on Gypsy and the Cat either but they're still better than presets and eots.

YES! vb is better. Aussies actually drink it too. Unlike fosters.

Where is that photo from? Looks like Davanzas Pizza in Park City UT?

Each to their own, Big Jet Plane is actually one of my faves of theirs!

Agreed though, Fosters is far from Australia's best beer, no one over here actually drinks it!

I listen to some of Angus & Julia Stone music. It's nice and soothing but a little on the slow side.

I see a crowd like last years listening to Jonsi. Just a group of people standing around and listening with a few girls swaying. No energy, little fun but good for a mid afternoon chill-out resting against the fence.

Correctamundo. Was there a couple weeks ago, and those are two of my friends from down under that were with me. The one on the right went to Coachella with me last year, and the one on the left is goin' this year.

Anyone who was at the Outdoor Stage for the Middle East early Sunday afternoon knows that some good acoustic Australian music is the perfect way to start your last day of an awesome Coachella weekend.

There have got to be the worst Australian band going around at the moment.

They are good enough but why fly to california to see an australian band play? I'd rather check out something else that will probably never tour aus.

Im not much of a fan either, but they were pretty epic when I saw them at Peats Ridge festival. Definitely baked out of their skulls on stage. Atleast Angus was.

I'm Australian and I know that Angus & Julia Stone suck so I shall not be seeing them.

(Kinda weird how big they are now, I remember seeing one of the first live shows they ever did)

The only good Australian act playing is Cut Copy and Tame Impala. Hoping some great smaller Aussie acts get a chance to play Coachella in the future.

It's odd that Australian indie is pretty weak right now - yet this is a big Coachella outing for australian acts.

All the good bands are on hiatus, broken up or on solo jaunts.

ANUS & KIDNEY STONE.

i will only check out cut copy and the presets if there are no set clashes.

empire of the sun suck. its just luke steele now, as littlemore went back to work on new material for pnau.

ps. VB is rubbish. its all about coopers pale ale ;)
