Although it's highly unlikely to be a reality for Coachella this year (a girl can dream):

According to greenplastic.com:

We're going to have to keep this short and sweet for now: Radiohead should be touring the US sooner than you probably think. 'Nuff said!

Stay tuned.

Coachella 2008 should have Portishead play the main stage right before Radiohead. Oh my God. That would be the best thing in the history of the multiverse.

I'm totally going to see them in Chicago next time around. Better crowds, tickets are slightly less impossible to get, and fakeplasticme will be there! :)

Supre you know what this does to me...your toying with my emotions...I can only hope that this happens sooner then later, once the dates are released I will turn into to idrive with MUSE

I guessssss, and I did go to all 6 Cali shows this last run ya know. A LOT of money was spent there. I met a few people who went to every U.S. show though. I think if its within range outside state wise I will consider it, if not Cali it is since they have to play SF and L.A. whch means multiple dates.

Yeah right we wish Muse would be ona tour with Radiohead, I think they do a decent job picking openers. Yeah people said Deerhoof sucked last year but it was still better than Immigrant opening for Muse as an example. I want Mogwai to open for Radiohead, that woudl rule.

I went to all 6 Cali shows plus Bonnaroo last year and I can totally agree with the amount of money spent, most of the people that went to all shows in the U.S. were on atease, nuts...I think at this point anything on the west coast is considered within means. MUSE opening for Radiohead would be a dream, as would Mogwai but they don't tend to have well established bands as openers. Thom recently released his personal playlist on itunes which consisted of alot of Spank Rock...maybe they could open?

Well my fave openers were on the last 2 tours, Supergrass which is one of my fave U.K. bands of the last 10 years and The Beta band in 2001. Yeah maybe they play Vegas at The Pearl. That would be a mad house though sicne it only holds 2300 people. I need to take a week and half off if I did an entire west coast run. Yeah those atease kids be crazy. Oh dude, I forgot to ask why si the board down? Any info?

Well I missed TOOL at the Pearl and Radiohead there would MORE then make up for that. I was at the atease board like 3 hours ago and it was fine...

Really? I need to go look, yes I wanted to see Tool at the Pearl. Its ok I got MORRISSEY at The Pearl now in a few weeks, floor tix on top of that. That place looks insane on the inside.

atease always goes down randomly. Finicky servers or something.

But why is this thing up again? I went to both SD shows but only paid for one.
Signs (and Plank) point to more stewing in the studio, but one can always hope.

It is starting to seem more and more like a late 2007 album release and an early 2008 tour, thought I am hoping against it, hopefully Thom doesn't review what they have so far and say "fuck it let's go back into the studio"

Muse is not in Radiohead's league. I prefer Supergrass opening up for them. I think Muse is a good band, but I do not see them as a great band, at least not yet. I think Deerhoof opened up for them before.

I hope he does. the best shit they've done has been stuff they've been frustrated with. patience with radiohead always pays off.

Anyone else see them at the Greek Theater in Berkeley with Deerhoof. That was amazing. I hope they do more venues of that size.

I look forward to hearing their new songs. I hope it is more rock sounding like Bends and OK Computer era.

The new songs are great. At least the ones they were playing at the shows they did last year. And yes, many of them are more rock, bends era sounding. And they are awesome!
