So i hear talk there is no GA #. But If you look in your order history on ticketmaster, it does show a GA count. For Instance, I just bought my tickets, and got

Section
Row
Seats GA
GA4
564 - 566

DeanCorso

that means that you will be stuck towards the back of every show in every stage FOR ALL TIME...

You are correct, wonder if there's a pattern. I ordered last night and got:

Section
Row
Seats GA
GA7
945 - 948

Funny. Same thread was started last year.

I remember PF came on to make fun of all the "mathematicians".

And the mathematicians got the total amount of ticket sales right...

Okay, got some info to clear up the GAxxx number thing. A friend of mine who has access to Ticketmaster's system says that there were around 15,000 tickets left for Coachella as of 4:00pm today. I asked him which GA number it was at and he said GA119 and that there were still 31 left, confirming that its set to sell out at GA150. We came to the conclusion that each GA number represented 500 tickets. I dont know if its 500 for all events, or even if its 500 for every Coachella, but it makes sense here. So that would mean that the total capacity is 75,000 per day and that around 60,000 tickets have already been sold.

Now, usually, most reports ive seen say that Coachella is capped at 60,000-65,000 people per day. 2007 is one year where we know the GA numbers stopped at GA150, and to me it definitely felt the most cramped out of the 3 years ive gone. So is it possible that 2007 had 75,000 people, while other years were capped earlier? Does it mean that this year the GA cap isnt really 150, but its lower and that there are only ~5000 tickets left to meet the standard 65,000 per day. Or does it mean that there really will be 75,000 people there this year and that GV hopes that the extra 10,000 people will be spread out in the campgrounds and outside the venue because of the in-n-outs...

Is anyone here actually quoting facts?

nope

You guys are funny.

I'm sorry to say, but (this time) you can actually stop pushing the button.

actually, just based on what's stated, there is kind of a pattern - if you put them in order of when they went on sale, the numbers appear to be getting smaller instead of larger. of course, that's only based on what people have posted. I got mine on layaway, so i can't add to it

21st (when sale started) GA0 - 1486

21st (unknown time) GA9 - 263

21st (stated just after sale started) - GA8 -???

22nd (night) - GA7 - 945 - 948

22nd (unknown time) – GA5 - 1130

22nd (unknown time) – GA5 - 945 - 948

23rd (around 2:30) - GA4 - 564 – 566

we had fun with this in 07.

there was a pattern to it in 07. now with the different ticketing options its much harder to find out when it will sell out.

so good luck!!

It has taken John at most a couple weeks to figure out what most people on here don't seem to get after 3 years.

I nominate this the most useless thread of 2011. Keep that one logged, mja.
