Couldn't find a thread for him, so I figured I'd start one.

Solo project of Dallas Green from the post-hardcore? (fuck I hate genres) band Alexisonfire. He is an incredible songwriter and brilliant live.

Loved his first two albums, and he was really good opening up for Tegan & Sara in the fall of 2008. I'm looking forward to new material from him!

I've seen him once at the El Rey and once at the Fonda (and hopefully twice at the El Rey in a couple months). He's fabulous live. Such a haunting voice. I hope it translates well to the open air desert stage. I love Bring Me Your Love. Haven't heard any other albums by him.

As I've said in the Gord Downie thread, with both City and Colour and Gord Downie being at Coachella, seeing this in person is going to be a major highlight for me this year:

Here's a video of Dallas showing the process or recording 'Sleeping Sickness':

A friend of mine is obsessed with Dallas Greene
So i'd listened to this band a few times and always thought, "this would be great for Coachella". -'m glad Paul agreed with me.

I think that City and Color will be a great show. I really hope the Gord Downie cancels though because if he gets on stage I'm out!

I've seen City and Colour now about 5 times live. Dallas puts on a fantastic show, but i'm not too sure how well it'll translate to the Outdoor or Coachella stages. I'm hoping it'll be in one of the smaller tents. I've seen him play larger venues - but the best show I saw him at was locally in Saskatoon at a small auditorium a couple of years ago. (vid below was from the show)

Very excited for his new album that's in studio.

Hands down one of the Top 5 acts I'm most excited for! I've ALWAYS been a huge fan of Alexisonfire, mainly for Dallas's voice. He's going to put on an AMAZING show on Sunday!

I love how Dallas dresses like a hipster when he performs as City & Colour, and then like a hardcore kid during Alexisonfire shows.

He actually has been dressing like that for the past couple years. Even at Alexisonfire shows....

Is it more likely Gord Downie will guest with C&C or the other way around?

Alexis on Fire is one of my fav's. But something about his solo work that I love, love, love.
He comes to my town every year now since 2008 and I make a point to drop everything to see him.

If you have NOT seen him- I would make a point to see him this year! Its a great show.

There were some parts of the set where it was distracting. But he did a great job despite it. Awesome.

i was hoping for 'comin home', or, even more than that, 'day old hate'. still, great set.

That was pretty underwhelming, to be honest. He sounded bored and uncomfortable, and Wiz's crap from the mainstage didn't help.
