Looks like he has a one-day gap in his NA tour April 27th, right in between Omaha and Denver dates. It's probably an unlikely add, but hey, one can always dream.

Ive heard from some he is very boring live. I have also heard from others he brings you in.
I wouldnt mind Bright Eyes being there.
But it's not likely.

I payed $160 for me and a girl to see him tomorrow. If he plays Coachella too, I will faint.

Hah, anyone playing that much to see Bright Eyes is out of their mind.

I'm very concerned that what you've said there is going to affect me. Yes, yes indeed.

I hope Bright Eyes gets added, I couldn't go to their El Rey shows.

Tomorrow. I'll tell you how it went? I'm hoping he uhm... doesn't really play anything new. Haha. All I care is for The Center of the World and Something Vague. I will be completely satisfied if he plays either.

maybe he'll cry on stage?

Maybe your name's cool and all, but you still don't match its temperature with your ice cold wit.

No, those are the 14 year old girls when he plays first day of my life.

I hope not, such an embarrassment to a terrific music festival. He is such a pathetic human being.

I thought your beloved moderator said something about picking on people or whatever. I mean, it doesn't affect too many people, and I'm not particularly upset at you, but you really don't have much of a reason to be as mean or closed-minded as you are, do you?

jigglypuflvr@mac.com

Like, do you guys feel real original? Or like, radical, like the rest of the homies going to this festival? Haha. I'm done trying to enjoy your life.

conor has conflicting shows, we've already been through this.

<3 that'd be fun... unlikely though it is, it'd be cute. I've seen them three times already, and I'm hoping to go another few

perhaps not... was just to boring for my ears and eyes.

Wow, you remind me of a young revolutionary that rained among these boards with the initials DW, he used to think that things were dead... I can't believe Bright Eyes is playing the Walt Disney Music Hall in LA, now THAT is going to be crazy, any onsale dates for that show???

jigglypuflvr@mac.com

DW? I've only been on the boards for like a few weeks, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Let's hope not. His set in 2005 was so fucking boring. At least he played a couple of his good songs in 2004, but, alas, I wasn't there that day.

I'm hoping to go to the Berkeley show while I'm in CA :)

2005 BE set should be thrown out. it was in support of a shite album.
"four winds" sounds interesting and grabs my attention for "cassedagas"(sp?).
wouldn't be bad having conor and co. there again, especially if jim james and m. ward show up.
conor has worked with emmylou harris and she is playing the week after at stagecoach. maybe a guest appearence?
see, it could be worthwhile.

are you talking about Digital Ash in a Digital Urn?... on the whole not his best work but there are some really worthwhile songs on it, I enjoyed the encompassing concept, but some songs didn't strike me...

...if you're talking about I'm Wide Awake It's Morning, you're out of your mind.

ghettojournalist

2004 set= "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning"
2005 set= "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn"

yeah, and i'm going to see BE in SB. "Four Winds" is great and the opening acts for the show (gillian welch, oakley hall) are enough enticement without hearing the album.

Yeah, nearly all acts still play older, more time-tested, songs when touring to support a new album.

unfortunately.....Bright EYes played nearly all newish material last night at the El Ray....

while I am a big fan of most of their output, it would have been nice to hear more than 1 song for people who have been fans before 2005.....

the setlist last night could have lulled me to sleep

conor doens't really like much of his older material. he doesn't believe in it anymore and is kind of embarrassed by some of it.

Yeah, last night definitely sucked. I guess I'll try to get a regular priced ticket to the Disney show. But uhm... that San Diego show isn't at Soma, it's at the Casbah... and the Casbah is 21+, right?

It isn't at The Casbah, that's just the promoter. It's at soma.

I'm not too impressed with the ep he just released, but has anyone heard no-one would riot for less? I think it's great, it has given me hope for the new album... (and made me want to go to his san francisco shows even more this weekend).
