This man is a genius. I've managed to catch him a few times and he always throws it down. Can't wait to see Alfred in the Sahara. Turn up the volume, Mr. Soundman.

Wow, Daedelus too. There are so many Sahara acts this year that I've failed to get my ass to see in the past few years that are giving me another shot.

Seriously can't wait for this, along with the rest of the Brainfeeder crew, ie. Lorn, TOKiMONSTA, Ras G

Very excited for this. I've seen him more times than I can count in the last few years and I'm really glad he's playing a proper set.

He really is quite a great performer. He always brings so much energy every time he plays. He is incredibly nice. And what I think I like the most is how different it was every time I've seen him. You never know what you are going to get.

:bump Caught him at the Avalon (last year) and it was mindblowing! Except I was drunk as f***, so this Coachella set will be the time to redeem myself. All of his sets, I hear are very diverse from one another...I'm excited to hear what he has ready for us :)

Alfred throws the fuck down live, and he's a really, really nice guy. I advise you all to watch his set.

last time I saw his was the Friends of Friends show with Peanut Butter Wolf at the Echoplex in Silverlake and he killed it. His mix that night was full of enegry and it translated well to the crowd.

His set at Baths' record release show was pretty mindblowing. I dunno if Sahara would be a good fit though, maybe a late Gobi?

I'd prefer the Gobi in hopes of dancing in an e-tard-free environment, but I really want to hear him abuse the Sahara soundsystem for an hour.

I hear that! Seen him at Low End Theory a few times and he killed it every time. I would love to see him rape the Sahara's system but, just like FlyLo last year, I think he would be more suitable in the Gobi. I wouldn't mind a few etards in the crowd but being surrounded by them just wouldn't be right for his set.

This set is even more impressive when you youtube the monome tutorial(thats the box he usesyAyjcONJcaY

Most impressive is the specific model he uses is twice as big as the one featured in the tutorial. And that's not counting the two little guys he often has going as well. I don't understand that machine, nor do I care to. All I understand is that when Alfred starts hitting buttons, I start dancing involuntarily.

This will be my 4th time seeing him and I'm just as excited. He's gotten progressively better at live sets imo. He will most certainly throw down. I also hope he's in the Sahara because that sound system would work so well with him... I think I can put up with some e-tards.

I agree. Every time I have seen Daedelus he is better than the last time. I am really looking forward to his set at Coachella and hopefully some late night session at camp.

I think my favorite part out of all the recordings of his that I have is from 7-10 minutes of his LEV set. I love what he does there.

My favorite part about him is that he is so weird because he doesn't do drugs

he invented his own drink, they serve it at the Crosby.... last time i checked alcohol was a drug. Just sayin.

Hmm, didn't know that.

On another note, can anyone direct me to a youtube video (that I believe I found here) which involves electronic spelunking or something along those lines. Breaking open random electronics and connecting them to speakers and shit, resulting in bizarre noises. I think he was featured in it.

His live sets are fantastic and sound so unique, he is also very humble and approachable. Hopefully the festival exposure this year will introduce the emerging EDM fans to an artist of his caliber.

You set each row to a trigger on a program via computer, in most videos you can see him check his computer to see what row is controlling what...

I am very much looking forward to his set.

Here's a link to two mixes he did this summer in LA for Cinespia screenings, the first for Willy Wonka and the second for Invasion of the Body Snatchers:

http://www.cinespia.org/music/

His links are about half the way down the page. There's a lot of other good stuff on here too, especially Dam Funk/Peanut Butter Wolf's all-Prince Purple Rain set at the very bottom.

After coming on 20 minutes late his computer and dj equipment stopped working after 5 minutes and he put and a mix and pretended to dj. I left after that did anyone stay to see if he fixed his stuff and actually performed?

Not only did Daedelus perform, he threw the fuck down. Remixed James Blake, Portishead, Tame Impala, Bjork, and others. He tore shit apart ala Nosaj the night before. Great, great set.

Daedelus killed it like always. His homemade mirrored lighting set up was awesome. I'm really glad he got a closing slot and such a great turn out, he deserved it.
