What time did he go on and how long did he play for? Just curious, because I'm seeing him tonight in SF.

Sasha came on a bit after midnight. He probably shut the place down at 2am when the club closed. My buddies had to work today so we left at 1:15am. I didn't feel too bad about leaving early. I knew I would catch him again in the Sahara. It was at the new D30, it's owned by the owner of Ruby Skye.

I wanted to go, but none of my friends were interested, bah. If it had been Tiesto I'm sure I would've had 50 people wanting to go. :nono

Sorry, no pictures. I have seen Tiesto several times including when he came to Sac two years ago. Tiesto brings more spectacle but Sasha brings better music. Besides, A Sasha crowd is always better than a Tiesto crowd.

I've been listening to his Glastonbury set for the past few days. Super excited to see him at Coachella. He's in my top 10.

Friday night in the Sahara is going to be scary good. Boyz Noise, Magnetic Man, Sasha, and The Chemical Brothers... I'm getting in there early and staying. So excited

I was transported back to the mid-90's with Orbital and Plastikman. I think the vibe during Sasha's set will be similar to an underground warehouse rave in San Fran during the early 2000's

Uh.. it's pretty confusing that there are now two threads called 'sasha'. (Search function, my friends, use it).

Anyway, Sasha last night at Ruby Skye was pretty great. I've always been really critical of all the Sasha love, I looked at him as someone who peaked almost 15 years ago and hasn't done anything notable since. But catching a few minutes of his set at Glastonbury unintentionally last year, I was really surprised and knew I had to check him out when he toured here. There were a couple of times during his set that I lost interest and felt NO inspiration to dance, but I'm talking like maybe 15 minutes total out of the 2+ hours I saw. Overall it was great.

He went on sometime after 12:30, when I left at 3, he was still going strong though the crowd had thinned out a bit. Also Ruby Skye... the crowd wasn't *quite* as bad as I remembered but still pretty awful for the most part. Thank god for the mezzanine level and a buffer of friends. I have to give credit where due, though, the club set up and sound system is a lot better than I'd remembered.
