Think its going to be Suede on the outdoor at sunset. But I'm sure BSS will enjoy the Mojave.

I wonder who of their amazing lineup of musicians will make an appearance. Feist? Emily?

I'm really hoping for the full cast. Please don't let them conflict with Bright Eyes, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, or The Radio Dept.

They played in Salt Lake two years ago during our annual free summer concert series and it was fantastic! Even with only half of their lineup.

If it is not the full cast, then it is a Broken Social Scene, rather than a Fixed Social Scene. (I feel like Henny Youngmen).

...and that's probably the least funny thing I've heard you say.

Yeah is there any word on the odds of Emily Haines, Leslie Feist or James Shaw showing up? None of them were there when I saw them in 2008.

If you do not play "Pacific Theme," I am going to be very upset. But I'll still love you. But do it.

James is part owner with Sabastien from DFA of a Studio in Toronto - they may both even live in the same complex. James played with BSS in 2002(?) and camped as a fan the next year. In other words if Jimmy was there for BSS and DFA it would be his 5th time there. Jimmy has joined BSS at Lolla 2006, Vancouver VFest 2009 and treasure island 2010 as well as several NYC/TO shows.

Metric and Feist are both recording albums at the moment. Might be a nice weekend off. Feist does split time in France so that's a factor.

What time (roughly) is sunset at Coachella?

They don't even play this song live do they? Well at least I don't think they have in the last few years.

I really dig BSS but since I will be seeing them here in a few weeks I doubt that I will see them at Coachela.

The crowd in that video is lame. How could you just stand there during this song? WTF Chicago?

On the Forgiveness Rock Record tour, they have switched between Pacific Theme, KC Accidental, and World Sick as their opening number. For the most part. But Pacific Theme is definitely on the rarer side nowadays yes.

I was bummed they didn't play "Anthems For a 17 Year Old Girl" at Sasquatch.

"Pacific Theme" would be nice as well.

That surprised me too. They played it at Treasure Island, though.

waaaaay to big for the mojave

BSS has been playing as 9-12 piece band over the past year. I'm From Barcelona played the mojave as 17 piece band in 08. So...

rage patton

Oh. Well, in that case, hobomilitia should look at some of the previous years "popular" bands that have played the mojave.

If they pull out guilty cubicles, like they had been on their last tour, at sunset i think i would melt right there and then.

I would do some dirty things to get "Pacific Theme".

This song though. This song we shall have.

even though lisa has a great voice she kinda reminds me a zombie when shes up there live. She cant fulfill the voice to lots of the more upbeat songs. She is bangin' though.

This is usually as close as I'll get to hearing Pacific Theme. Still a damn good song in its own right. And they love playing it, so I'm sure we'll hear it.

the first song i ever heard them play live was pacific theme.

Im gonna try to not get my hopes up for a feist or emily but since they're playing at the glasshouse they are going to be in the southern california area for a while. We can always hope they make some phone calls to some people.
