The Twelves are gonna be more fun than Sasha and a lot of those other "20 minutes to go nowhere" DJs, yet they will inevitable be slotted at like 3pm.

their essential mix gets a lot of play from me. they will probably get an early slot and kill it a la boys noize a couple years ago

sucks they will be so early but they always put on a great show imo.

having good acts on early is a good problem to have.

One thing I gotta say, last time they played in DC, I hopped up into the DJ booth for a good ten minutes of their set. Was pretty impressed with how much they were really doing live.

It's refreshing to see that when compared to some other duos I've seen recently who just plug in a laptop running ableton without any sort of controller or anything and just hit play on tracks....

Plus the shit they play is just disco-infused fun. Their EM is easily one of my top five, most listened to EMs... along with Tiga's from 09 and Mylo's from 04(maybe? or was it 05?)

Really looking forward to seeing them at Coachella this year.

listening to the essential mix at work. i hear the familiar melody of trans-europe express start and think "oh neat, they're working in planet rock". and then its just straight up TEE. fucking great.

they just went from "who?" to "must see".

I saw them play last weekend, and they were fucking throwing down hard. If there isn't anyone I wanna see during their set, I'll be checking them out again.

I'm hitting Chicago on my way back to CT and going to The Twelves and Laidback Luke that weekend. Not a bad way to ease the pain of an ending vacation.

One of my only two Sahara excursions (the other being Duck Sauce), they killed it as they ALWAYS do. Perfect stuff to groove to, I would have loved a later set time but as it was it started my day off on an incredible foot. :) However I would have liked to hear more of their recognizable remixes and original material... oh well. Good show dudes!

Youll probably get a waay better set. They usually spin for 2 hours, and cover all their material. Hopefully they got some new remixes that havent surfaced yet.

I had never heard of them but stopped by the tent for the end of Rye Rye because I was intrigued by her. Then...

The Twelves afternoon set may have been one of my favorite moments of the festival. That was a fucking afternoon dance party of the finest kind.

I was surprised so many people showed up for such an early act. It was a ton of fun though, I feel bad for whoever missed out.

Got a video from the front row, even the security personnel couldn't stop bobbing their heads haha.

And when they dropped Positif... totally unexpected. I might have creamed myself a bit.

I was more surprised they were on so early. At least in the San Francisco area people have been into The Twelves for a bit now. When everybody was doing the set time predictions and kept guessing The Twelves to open the day I thought they must be kidding. They have more name recognition out here than some of the other DJs on Saturday. They were must sees for a lot of people I know and they killed it, such a fantastic way to start the day.

That's true, I did hear multiple people around the campgrounds playing their mixes which was tight, but you gotta think about the stigma attached to early acts... If people haven't heard of them they sleep in or just plain skip and whatnot, which is sad.

The Twelves getting billed so early only sucked for the people that didn't care enough to attend, I felt although Joao and Luciano would have obviously appreciated getting a later time slot, they really had fun with all of us that afternoon. Nothing wrong with that, they're only going up from here.

Not to mention that the crowd was going off, Sahara wasn't full but it was far from empty. I think they had a blast, the crowd was obviously really into it. Easily a highlight of my Coachella experience.
