Didn't they have a serious sophomore slump? And that was four years ago. Not that they were ever good.

For once, I agree with FairfaxandFountain.

Maybe this is an apology for being on at the same time as Daft Punk in 06.

Why Goldenvoice thinks anyone cares about She Wants Revenge in 2011 is anyone's guess.

yeah I literally lold when I saw them on there. They sucked when they were halfway relevant five years ago, what makes GV think they'll suck any less now?

i went to go check out my buddies DJ downtown on sunday, and they had a guest DJ that night, who ironically is the guy on the left...had no idea until they said oh he's from She Wants Revenge, and had no idea they would be at Coachella...sheesh.

I think they're just a stagefiller while 60,000 people are off seeing someone worth a shit. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened to them.

It's a fucking band, people. Sorry they're not hip enough to meet your indie cred.

Go back to bitching about truly awful shit like Kings of Limbs/Leon and Neon Trees.

They are the opposite of hip. They've always sucked. I wanted to chuck tomatoes at them the first year.

KoL is way better, and I'm not even a fan.

These up-and-comers are really going to get their big break closing out the Gobi. Don't sleep everybody, you haven't heard of these guys but they're bringing a unique sound to rock and roll. Good job GV.

Is it weird for some reason I want to hear that song Tear You Apart? Besides that I agree on the crap-ness and will definitely be no where near the set.

Sorry, the She Wants Revenge that wrote that song failed utterly both creatively and financially as a musical act years ago. This fresh new She Wants Revenge, scheduled to close the Gobi, is really bringing a hot and tantalizing vibe to the rock and roll scene.

lol

Anyone else remember the outfit the singer wore the first time around? Super low rise pants w shirt open. That was the only time I ever wanted to be blind.. And possibly deaf.

I went w a friend to catch part of their set as a favor. He still owes me.

Just the fact that you say KoL is a better musical act than anyother no dj/rave act shows your lack of credibility as a music fan.

please. i'd challenge you to a music trivia contest any day of the week.

while Kings of Leon do have a couple of tracks i sort of like from about 5 years ago (yet i always skip if they every come up on shuffle), i would never consider myself a fan. i don't think i've played the current album more than once.

however i still don't get the amount of outright hate they get, almost like nickelback-type hate. i would imagine the people who feel this level of hate towards them probably only know the couple of recent songs that get played over and over on the radio, which are probably very far from their best tunes, imo.

I liked Justin Warfield better when he was doing hip hop in the 90s. Anyone else remember that?

Actually.. the stuff they have put out since I like MORE than Tear You Apart, etc. It's almost a disco feel to it.

I saw most of their set and finished my night with them. I also saw Cold Cave. These bands are similar in genre. I was in the front for CC and had to walk away after 3 songs. They had style, but the front man couldn't sing and they almost tried too hard to be inaccessible.

I like the singer for SWR. It's deep, melodic and articulate.

So, go ahead....bring on the hate:-)
