Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the deal is with of Montreal. They're listed on the KROQ page, which seems to be relatively accurate, but they're not on the official poster.

I have tickets to see them in Toronto in March, so it doesn't really make a difference to me, but I know a lot of my friends would love to see them and I think they would blow away a good number of Coachella-goers with their infamous on-stage antics.

Does anyone know what the deal is?

bump.

No takers? No one even wants to speculate on this? OF MONTREAL, man! They're great!

Are there any other bands that were ON the KROQ list but didn't materialize on the official poster?

Thanks, it would be great to find out.

While you're at it, let us know whether they play (as-promised) their new Fiery Furnaces cover. And whether the live antics are as off-the-wall as we all hope.

I'm hoping they play their cover of Bat Macumba. I'll be asking for that.

Man, that would be a DELIGHT. Is Os Mutantes still playing shows? Given the number of bands that played last year's pfork festival that are on this year's Coachella bill, I was half expecting some good old-fashioned desert Tropicalismo. Fingers crossed, I guess.

of Montreal should really be on the Coachella bill, no question about it.

KROQ has become such a shit, lousy, and inaccurate station. They're not even sponsoring this Coachella event, so they should stick their noses out and promote Emo and Nu Metal crap as they normally do.

Apparently, this is resolved:

Makes sense... They don't want to cut into their potential socal show attendance.
Should be a SWEET show!
