So starting tonight GottaDanceDirty (http://www.gottadancedirty.com) and DANCEiSM (www.danceism.com) will be putting on a weekly Thursday night event at The Central Social Aid and Pleasure Club in Santa Monica (http://www.centralsapc.com/). The concept is to do small, mostly free but always cheap shows with local DJs as well as super secret surprise special guests and the occasional announced headlining talent.

I'll update this as often as I can to let everyone know who is coming through town.

In November for the preview party we had Ooah from the Glitch Mob, and PeaceTreaty as surprise guests, as well as friends and local DJs.

The venue is an awesome little bar, brick walls, concrete floors, about 250 capacity with a great soundsystem and cool stage.

Make sure to come out on 1/13 for Bareback DJs and the first US appearance of Round Table Knights. Only $10 with RSVP.

It's definitely a cool place. Down the street from my apt. I saw Home Video there in November. The crowd's kind of pretentious in the bar, tho.

last week was a huge success and it was supposed to be kind of like our "soft opening." lots of tickets sold for RTK tomorrow night should be a great turnout and definitely great tunes. bareback DJs are really solid as well. you should definitely come out.

glad you came out and enjoyed. wouldn't mind a RTK slot at coachella at all but not counting on it.

Damn, I slept on this. Nice to see a westside local joint (other than Zanzibar) throw down.

I caught Jimmy Edgar over at Central a while back. The place has been remodeled since the 14 Below days and they removed the dead-hippie-stank carpet. Much improved.

Best of luck to the promoters. This side of town can be brutal on weeknights. If you toss us a good drink special, no cover before 10pm and keep the talent coming... we'll do our best to represent.

for now we got $5 vodka redbulls all night, maybe gonna try and work on a few other early specials to get people there nice and early.

last night was packed again and a great time. most events will absolutely be free and the talent top-notch.

we're glad the westside is showing so much love!
