Doesn't really matter what stage, although closing the outdoor would be pretty tight. i would just like to see them out there.

Just as long as there isn't a major conflict I would be so happy about sts9 playing at my favorite festival.

This past Vegoose was by far the best of all 3! I thought that Sound Tribe Sector Nine and Thievery Corporation were up there with Daft Punk. I love DP, but i think STS9's show was ridiculously good! Biggest dance party!

my favorite set of saturday. crowd really enjoyd them and lots of dancing.

STS9 is my new favorite band.

hands down epic jammy awesome dance party FTW

Fuuuuuuck that showed slayed tonight. I freaked out a little because they were supposed to go on at 10.45, so I had planned my night accordingly. Happened to check here at 9 and saw they were then going on at 10 and ran out the door.

Amazing.

I ended up with an extra ticket, but it was too late to let anyone know. STS9 sure know how to throw a fucking party.

Yeah, STS9 killed it last night here as well.. Just an all-out dance party, great enthusiastic crowd, nice vibes all night. The afterparty rolled into 4am..

I'm fucking drained.

I kinda wish we could rename this thread to STS9 HOB SUNSET 2011 or something on those lines because it kinda annoying to see "Whatever band" for "whatever year".

I accidentally overheard part of a STS9 set at ACL a few years ago while waiting in line for the portapotty. Sounds The Same as 9 other bands in that genre. yawn.

I just can't listen to them, too trancey for my tastes. An occasional power chord would do them wonders. Everything sounds the same, the music has no balls, it's like they try to do jazz in a dance format and it just doesn't work in my opinion.

thats word different tastes for different people. thats how i kinda feel about the disco biscuits but ha this board obviously doesnt like the jam

I enjoyed their set at the Chicago HOB over their Lolla set in 09. Street Scene set in 08 was ok. I think I just prefer them in a small-mid size venue than a fest. The 90+min set at HOB was definitely a plus.

anybody... go to red rocks for those shows. such a great time every single summer

the best set ive seen by em tho was the first night at rothbury in 09. so good.

Don't you get enough of it here? That band has saturated this city with live shows. But I can see it happen. On the outdoor stage maybe

That set was great, I was still tripping from Tool and it was a nice way to come down.

As much as i love this band, a one hour set at a festival for a jam band just doesn't cut it for me. I saw them back in 09 at acl and they played for one hour and it felt like it was over as soon as it started.

Terrible news that i woke up to

It’s with heavy hearts and eternal optimism for the future that we announce the cancellation of STS9′s Winter Tour 2011 dates in February 2011 and March 2011 while our brother, friend and bass player David Murphy will begin undergoing timely and nessessary cancer treatment following STS9′s Mayan Holidaze performances this weekend. Below you will find a note from David himself he wanted you all to read…

Greetings Family,Friends and Fans,

I’m writing to share with y’all some news I’ve received recently. I have just been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor primarily in my sinus cavity (a type of internal skin cancer). It will require extensive surgery followed by a few months long recovery periods. There will be some treatment for the cancer following also but at this time we aren’t fully aware of what that will entail and at this time we are just focusing on the task at hand which is the surgery.

With this news comes a bit of bad news for our upcoming shows. We will have to cancel all of our upcoming shows in Feb and March in order to fully get after taking care of this little health issue to the fullest, and we will do just that. There is nothing more in the world I love then playing music and sharing it with all of you and we will continue to do it for a long time together and all I ask for is y’all’s thoughts and prayers during this time of recovery!

We will still be performing in Mexico this weekend before my upcoming surgery, so for y’all down there….

Let’s do this…. Boom!

We’ll send appropriate updates as we get them through out the process.

Murph is a fighter, he'll be back laying it down in no time. I'm glad to see some Sector 9 love on here. I'm surprised with all the drum and bass talk I see that more of you folks don't get down to it. I mean, come on...absolutely filthy.

Giving this another bump for 2012. They played one of the best sets of Bonnaroo this year, in my opinion. Watching the sun rise outside of the tent as they played 'Circus' was a beautiful moment. Seeing them at Coachella would be such an awesome time, and I think they would convert a lot of people and gain some new fans.

Pumped about seeing them at Moogfest this weekend and the glorious five-night NYE run.

Edit: they sound drastically different than this now, but here's their '02 Coachella set.
