Killswitch started going down hill after Jesse left the band after their first album. Howard started directing the bands style to much towards his other hardcore band Blood Has Been Shed which wasn't that great of a sounding band in the first place. Jesse's new band Seemless could be a cool show. But if we really want some east coast hardcore how about Candira

They're not really metal, more punk, but The Bronx. I've seen rumors about them playing, like on monklish. They absolutely shred and their singer, matt caughthran, has probably the greatest voice and scream I've ever heard out of a punk singer. Sounds like hes been chewing on razors.

Deftones would be rad, as would Gwar.

Drinkey McDrinkerstein

I could definitely see The Bronx at Coachella. They could even do two days and do a Mariachi El Bronx set too.

another broken up Phil band. He's only doing shit with Down now which after !II wasn't worth checking out, although if Down did play and Stone the Crow was played there may just be enough smoke to get who ever is watching their show very stoned.

If you want to try and ride the Pantera coattail you would have more luck getting Hell Yeah to play.

Bands like Weedeater, Baroness, Sunn0))), Eagle Twin, Sleep, Earth, etc. are ideal for Coachella and I want to see more of it.

I have less than 0 desire to see a straightforward mainstream metal band on Coachella. When people don't really know metal and you give them a chance to interpret it, the results are embarrassing.

I make 2 exceptions - Coachella strives to rival the Euro festivals, and in order to do that, you need an Iron Maiden headlining set on your resume. The other is Slayer, because Slayer is universal, and them on Coachella has an ironic cool to it.

I saw Maiden when they played Ozzfest in Glen Helen a few years ago when Sharon Osbourne kept fucking with their set. They still played a killer show but I think the amount of time it would take to set up their stage to allow them their full stage preformance would put them out unless they somehow get a headlining spot

thefrush
12-22-2010, 09:41 AM
Maiden would not play any other slot but headline. They have headlined every other major festival in the world, they sure as hell aren't gonna play an underslot at Coachella. That being said, I don't see Coachella as the right festival for them. I, personally, wouldn't really want them there. Call it selfish but it just doesn't seem right. And Iron Maiden is by far my favorite band. I took a 3-day round trip to London just to see them at Twickenham.
