It's time. George Clinton and P Funk All Stars. Coachella needs the Mothership!! All minds gratefully blown at once. But he needs a 90 minute set for liftoff. Friday night. Funk does not lead to complete sentences.

You have my support on this wish. This is a fun show. Atomic Dog live made me shake my ass.

The mothership makes an appearance in Superjail and in Freaknik.

Damn, you are way into it. Thanks for the direction. I just wanted GC and P-funk to overload my fuses and bring some rainbow to this place. He is like an acid hit of funk.

I fucking love P-Funk (I was even named after them). However, it's really not the same as it once was... George is getting way old and his voice is beyond shot. I saw them when they played the Greek ('05?) and it was good, but nothing special. I dunno, looking back at footage from the 70's and then seeing what they are like now is just a little disappointing.

So, I feel a little bit like that about myself. I'm not what I was in the 60's-70's. But, I think the Greek is a shitty place to see anyone. I saw Dylan and Neil Young there and I swore off venues like that. Gotta have lots of room to move, no seat nazis, especially for P-Funk. Maybe they would come a bit more alive at Coachella. It can have that effect I have noticed.

They really do still come alive at an outdoor stage. The show is still huge, but a little more aged. The music is still played very well. I'm OK with George avoiding a broken hip during the show. Don't underestimate the "Oh shit! That's fucking P-Funk and George motherfucking Clinton" factor. It's hard to capture that magic on video. I am really hoping to get to see them again.

An Outdoor Stage set with this around 8 or 9pm would be inconceivable amounts of win.

We need to demand that the Mothership land at Coachella. I agree, close the outdoor. Paul Tollet and Goldenvoice need to know that this aggression against P-Funk will not stand, man. They are peeing on our funk rug, man.

FLASHLIGHT would be amazing at Coachella. It'd easily be one of the most fun sets of the weekend.
