Working as a DJ in New York in 2000 Marcus Lambkin befriended James Murphy later of LCD Soundsystem and started a DJ partnership with him. Lambkin moved to rural Germany in 2004 and started producing his own music, with a number of releases on DFA Records from 2006. He released his debut album From The Cradle To The Rave in September 2010 to positive reviews.The album features contributions from Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and James Murphy amongst others

oh man...can we just leave arcade fire out of it. it's like comparing having sex with the nerdy, sweet girl (or guy, as the case may be) who likes to cuddle to fucking the person you picked up at the Lords of Acid show wearing the ball gag while rolling. you just can't compare the two.

okay, here's something to try to get us back on point. this album is one of my most favorite albums of the year to listen to while baked. the way this guy has layered his samples is really something to admire. smoke a bowl, put on "I Found Love" - with high-end 'phones on - and your mind will be blown. report back.
