This has to happen. It fucking NEEDS to happen. There's some of us on the board here (namely... me) who won't be able to make it out to any of the west coast shows announced so far. This is probably the #1 band I'm hoping for right now for 2011. Don't disappoint Goldenvoice.

I'm actually surprised there isn't a thread for them yet. Well, there's the one in the music lounge but I usually get filled with jealousy every time I read that thread. Besides, they deserve their own in this section.

I'd say /thread but there's too much love to give. What can I say, I've wanted this since after the first Coachella I went to.

Subhead or closing Outdoor would be ideal. Closing Outdoor opposite Kanye West maybe? I can get with that.

Please make this happen I have a feeling the 3 shows at the Filmore is going to sell out really fucking quick. So whats the deal, are the playing albums in their entirety?

Bump! A Perfect Circle would be incredible - especially if they played all of 13th Step :)

While it is exceptionally rare, it has been done a couple of times. I am all for this in any case event.

Dylan, you sonofabitch.

EDIT: There's no argument that Keenan has the better singing voice. Chino, who's more of a crooner, isn't really the most demonstrable singer anyway (though he is every bit as captivating and believable), but he has a strong argument in the creativity department - and few are as versatile as he is.

I was logged into ticketmaster at 9:55 am and kept refreshing til the first second tickets went on sale. They were IMMEDIATELY sold out. i would love GV forever if a perfect circle came to coachella 11.

Bumping because this needs to fucking happen. The fact that nobody is talking about them and that they aren't on any fake posters really upsets me and leads me to believe they won't be there goddammit.

I think they're the sleeping giant......my senses tell me they'll be there.....been 12 years since they set foot on the fields.

+perfect opportunity to debut new material.....ala Tool 2006.

For sure this is one of my top 5 (realistic) wishlist acts of the year.

But I disagree with people saying they aren't seeing their name out there. I've seen them on a lot of fake posters and I think they'd be a good draw, GREAT subheadliner. I've never seen APC but seen tool 3-4 times.

Make it happen!!!!!

I think its a strong possibility of them being there. Especially with the rumors circulating last fall that they would be doing a tour this spring. Also, I read (on fourtheye I think) that Billy and Maynard had finished a new track. So if they were also putting out an EP they would be a lock.

They are certainly on my wishlist and would kill the outdoor theater on one of the nights.

I thought they'd be there too, but after the west coast shows there wasn't any other news. Billy supposedly went back to Ashes Divide (per his twitter) really hope they make the poster.

13th Step (second record) is also excellent. Emotive is a cover album with one original. I like it for what it is, but it gets mixed reviews.

I like eMotive alot. Especially live. Alot of the songs sound realllly good.

I think overall the sound of the band transisitions to more melodic and softer sound as you move from Mer De Noms to eMotive.

Yeah from what you guys said, Emotive was incredible live. I just know a lot of people who didn't like it, so i threw that in there.

After finishing their 13th step set in Vegas Maynard said that tour was like band practice for their friends. So who knows, they may be warming up for a new cd or more shows. April is planting season for grapes so he might be busy looking over that. He mentioned in Blood into Wine that he works in Tool, APC and puscifer related things around his wine making.

Did TOOL not rehearse in April before the band's April 30th 2006 Coachella headlinging appearance that was a kickoff show for that album?

MJK had already owned his winery for a couple years at that point.

APC could play Coachella with minor rehearsal after the fall tour last year. Checking the Josh's schedule could be a clue is Devo/Weezer are touring.

There were only private rehearsals prior to but Coachella was their first show since 2002.

Josh Freese (current APC drummer) also drums for both Devo and Weezer. He suggesting that somebody should check their tour dates to see if their respective schedules are open which, in turn, would mean he'd be free to play with APC. He was too lazy to look up the dates, and so am I.

Let us know what you find :)

As far as it goes, both Devo and Weezer look like they may be taking a break. Good signs so far.

13th Step is my fave album by APC (and in the top 10 overall)

I was lucky enough to see them both nights here in Vegas and if that was "practice" I would jizz in my fucking pants to see what rehearsed looks like..FUCKIN JESUS!! Both nights (we didn't get an eMotive night) sounded amazing..I had heard some reviews that Maynard wasn't hitting the high notes correctly, etc but that was not the case in Vegas..

Needless to say, if I wasn't already set on going, APC would be the clincher!

I'm pretty sure he's touring with Paramore very soon, as well. The man is everywhere.

The only Paramore dates I see are Feb 16th to March 4th. All South America, then I think they have to regroup and focus on their next album.

In other words, Josh still has an open schedule.
