- Lenny Bruce

edit:

When I saw Carlin last year, I hate to say it, but he was looking really fucking old. If you have your heart set on seeing Carlin, you'd better get on it.

speaking of zack, his appearance on the last episode of tim & eric was funny. Zack's the type of comedian you either love or can't stand

The Three Stooges weren't comedians. They were imbeciles with a high tolerance to pain...

this is one reason I voted for Pryor. note this predates Spinal Tap by several years.

This list as a whole is pretty good, despite the omission of Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, and Eddie Izzard.

And a million thank you's for not demeaning the rest of the names by including Dane Cook. The funniest thing he could do is be run down by his own tour bus.

This poll needs the multiple choice option.

lmao SNL is so much better than madtv no matter what era, they always had way funnier comedians, and skits

mad TV has always been the same old schtick forever. They have a small handful of annoying characters and just write the same damn sketches over and over.

Ok I gotta say this - Carlin's last HBO special/tour was awful!

I really really like Carlin. But that last thing was just an old man complaining, and stumbling over lines, not jokes. It was kinda sad.

There's hardly any laughter when you watch it.

Terrible.
