Coat it in BBQ sauce and bake it or grill it, then melt a piece of cheese on top of it and eat it in a sandwich.

In other words, completely obliterate any flavour it might have had initially?

Sounds like a plan. I tried just pan-frying strips in garlic butter, which was palatable, but not a result that will engender long-term tempeh consumption.

I guess I'm just a seitanist.

Heh.

I actually really like tempeh. And seitan. And tofu. But back in the days when I hated tempeh, that was the only way that I would eat it.

Heh.

I actually really like tempeh. And seitan. And tofu. But back in the days when I hated tempeh, that was the only way that I would eat it.

I ate tempeh when I was a kid, growing up in a wicked hippie area in Vermont. Mum went apeshit health conscious and we ate such things. We also ate carob, for which I will always hate my mother just a tiny little bit, deep inside.

Since such child abuse is a generational problem, I am mainly trying to cook healthier foods for my daughter's sake.

Truth be told, her mom lets her eat whatever she wants (snack time is all the time!), and never cooks anything that isn't microwaveable. The result is a wee bit of a struggle on weekends trying to detox my kid after a week of white trash haute cuisine. But the wee one is game to try anything once, sometimes twice, before writing it off. I made the mistake of letting her try raw tempeh, and I saw the same look I must have given my mom back in the Days of Carob. So I wanna get it right before springing it on her again.

BBQ sauce and cheese. Hellz yeah.

Tom already won the bag of chips there. I'd explain further but it was boring enough the first time. And I don't know why he went over it over and over because he certainly wasn't doing it to be funny for the Hot Chip song that was playing.

I have no idea how to relate enough back story for it to make any sense and remain interesting. It was a spur of the moment post as I was suddenly let free as he left the lab. Nothing particularly noteworthy about it; if I hadn't been right by a computer y'all never'd've heard anything about it.

Men steal disabled woman's helper monkey
From WKMG Local 6 Orlando
SAN MATEO - Putnam County deputies are looking for the men who stole a companion monkey from a woman with mental disabilities.

Joan Newberger was showing the marmoset monkey to four men Friday evening at Acme Grooming and Pet Haven Adoption Service in San Mateo.

The sheriff's office reports that one of the men grabbed the monkey from Newberger and cut the animal's leash with a pair of scissors.

The men ran from the store and the $4,900 monkey was taken away in a black sport utility vehicle.

Major Keith Riddick said it was the second time in six months that this type of monkey was stolen from the business.

This is a PM I received last night. The sender is now sober and thinks it would be prudent to post this on the board.

You said goodnight last night and i was absent for a few (30) seconds. So, good night, I hope you have awesome dreams. For example, a good dream for me would be me being a sock in the washer and then t\he dryer. First I would be swimming with all the other clothes (probably whites, unless I am a black sock (I doubt I would be a black sock though, not because I am racist, but because I never wear black socks because I never have to dress up)). So after the washer I would move to the dryer, which would be my social time with the other pieces of clothing. I dont really know what we would talk about, but i am sure it would have to do feet and arm pits. After I, or the sock, exited the dryer I would dread going on the foot, because when you are in the drawer you get to have sex with another sock (the other sock is always of opposite sex) and while you are doing it, watch other socks have sex.

So, when I or my sock partner went on a foot this would seperate us and put us on a foot that gets smellier by the second. However, when I was thrown in the laundry I would know That I could look forward to another pool party and bar attendance, and I know I would meet socks of the opposite sex and have sex with them in the drawer. Thats actually the beauty of being a sock: everytime you go into the drawer you get to have sex with someone else (ie. you get matched with another sock). Anyways, I hope you have good dreams hannah, and I am pissed I didnt get meet you at coachella. I am sorry for the drunk ramblings. I was going to say extremely drunk ramblings, but I am not extremely drunk. Instead I will say I am sorry for the drunk extreme ramblings. Make sure to change your socks!!!!!! PEACE.

MIAMI -- A Wendy's manager was shot in the arm over chili sauce -- and police in Miami are looking for the shooter.

Police said a man in the drive-through argued with an employee because he wanted more packets of the condiment. The worker told the customer that restaurant policy prohibited a customer from getting more than three packets.

The customer demanded 10 and got them. Police say the man then asked for even more and the manager came out to talk to him.

Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Mary Walter said that's when the manager was shot several times in the arm, but didn't suffer serious injury.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the chili sauce shooter, who drove off with a woman in his car.
