It wasn't a real poll. It was some idiot who thought MGMT were more popular than Gorillaz and wanted to do some retarded social experiment.

I still voted though.

Yeah, although slightly underwhelming still WAY better than mgmt. I cant believe randy actually thought mgmt was even remotely close to gorillaz in popularity.

I think I even overestimated MGMT's popularity, because I've been saying there's no way Phoenix could headline a festival over them. Maybe just underestimating Phoenix's popularity.

so before coachella it was like 250 to 25, and now it's 37 to 11. gorillaz must have been pretty sweet.

how clever. you said you'd prefer Auschwitz to a band. very edgy. it's such a witty dig at them and their music to say that the holocaust is better than them. so insightful.

all i know is it was impossible to find our own space during MGMT because there were floods of people getting down to the set. during gorillaz, all we saw were people leaving and asking why the fuck they were headlining. i don't like MGMT and love gorillaz way more, but i think randy was right in this instance. the crowd seemed larger and WAY more energetic from the back of MGMT.

Everyone around me was really into Gorillaz. Of course, I imagine a lot of those kids with no attention span who think indie music began with the Garden State soundtrack and ended with MGMT and Phoenix wouldn't have been too thrilled with it.

People around me were also way into Gorillaz but I did see quite a few people leaving.
