They put on an incredible show (Silberman is just out of this world...) and probably all around are my favorite new band of the past few years. They're the coolest guys in the world, too.

I was super stoked for them to get on the Bestival card and it got me thinking about Coachella... I would be absolutely ecstatic if they played at next year's card. What do you guys think?

See them this week in San Diego and twice in LA...

They're marvellous, but they're one of those bands that are really at the mercy of their audience. If they get stuck in front of a gaggle of chattering bros, they just won't work.

I saw them a while back and their actual performance was terrific, but their audience damn near ruined the thing.

I could definitely see that... I only saw them play the whole Hospice album at The Forum last year to a small crowd of less than 100 where everyone was just entirely absorbed at Pete's will.

Hopefully their show at the Casbah on Wednesday isn't full of randoms who just felt like hearing something while drinking.

Saw em open for Minus the Bear in San Antonio and at SXSW this year. Great band that makes really great music, I think they'd be a great band for Coachella '11.

i was somewhat shocked when they weren't on the lineup this year.

saw them open for Editors a few months ago and i'll be at the Casbah too. this show should be even better...the Casbah is like whipped cream-it makes everything better

I'm seeing them with Phantogram on Thursday at The Detroit Bar. I'm looking forward to it.

I strongly suggest you give Hospice a listen or two through, WITH THE LYRICS IN FRONT OF YOU. It's the best concept album in years and years, and seeing them play it all the way through is fucking incredibly moving if you understand the story.

I actually asked him how much of it was autobiographical after I saw them at the Forum, but he was hesitant to reveal details. He told me that at least half of it's factual, though he wouldn't submit who it all happened to.

If you know the album's storyline and this pitchforkTV performance doesn't make your blood curdle, check your pulse:

I LOVED Hospice, but hearing it live is a million times better. I agree and was shocked that they weren't there this year. I saw them at Monolith last year, and it was the first band we listened to that day. What a great way to start the day!

Did you see them here in LA? How was it? I was still in SD but they were great down there at the Casbah.

This. Although when you're busy creating a new thread every 5 minutes it's easy to forget which section you're in.
