Anyone catch this? I wasn't going to but realized there were no conflicts. I ended up liking him a lot more than De La Soul.

I had never heard a note of his action before this set.
He brought energy, gusto, and glee to the main stage eaaaaaaarly
in the day - hard to do in the sunbaked light on audience part of the day.

He may not have made an album-buying customer out of me - not really
my kind of hip hop - but he earned my respect as a for-real showman.
And he seemed to be having as good a time as his fans.

I didn't see all of his set, but I didn't hear him play "I am the Champion" or "Lovelier than You" which really bummed me out though =((((((

was a solid set though

Yeah, I enjoyed him more than I thought. He got really interactive with the crowd as well.

He blew me away. I knew of his hip-hop stylings, which is what we got from the first few songs. Then he brought out the whole band and gave us reggae, rock, hip-hop, r&b... Great crowd interaction. It was amazing. I was blown away.

I thought he was great, he brought so much energy in his performance. I wanted to kill the sound guy though.

No but my friend is in the last pic all the way to the left with a white shirt over his head. I was one row away.

His song has been all over the radio, and his mix tapes are sick.

One of my biggest surprises of the weekend. Was just walking by at the beginning of the set and got sucked in by the energy and the goofy, happy attitude. I thought it was great that he ran out into the crowd, too. Wound up staying the whole set and dancing the whole time.
