The most frustrating thing for me on the weekend was when I felt like sitting and listening to someone on the outdoor stage while having a beer but couldn't hear shit because of the techno pumping out of the Heineken tent. Is it really that necessary having it in the only beer area where it is possible to hear and see other bands??

Agreed. the heineken breasts are unnecessary.

DJ Bunny headlined Saturday there. Heineken tent is A-OK with me..

I didn't go in there this year, but last year when I went in it was like Bucky Fuller's wetdream. Are hookers hotter or less hot when projected onto the ceiling of a geodesic dome? Because I'm pretty sure the answer is that they're the same amount boring.

How about making the festival 21 and up and calling it a day? KTHXBYE.

Are you incapable of understanding what other people write?

Exactly, I understand that people enjoy that music and atmosphere even though I don't. Just think they should move it where it doesn't interfere with the sound from any of the stages. Would be even better if it was 21 and over and you could drink anywhere but I don't see that happening

I don't get why I could drink anywhere for Phish, but not Coachella.

It's the same fucking venue and both shows were all ages.

a few times, I felt like i was listening to the trance remix of several songs due to the bass thump from the Heineken dome....

it definitely could be relocated

I did venture in there twice to cool off a bit...which felt great

I think they should sequester all the dj/dance music far away from the music stages. I had the same problem with trying to watch La Roux from outside the packed Gobi stage - all I could hear was the Do Lab.

I agree - that Heineken dome is totally unnecessary. Are there not already enough opportunities to watch crappy no-name DJ's at Coachella already???

I agree with this.

Beer spilled all over the Polo Grounds. No Thanks. I already have to slip in that shit at other concerts. I can deal with the trash.

I agree with this, at times the Do Lab even bled onto the back of the mainstage field.

I had a great time at the Do Lab over the weekend, but for the volume it was cranking out it was too close to everything else.

Umm Friday night they had all the OM Records people in there. I don't know about you but it was much more fun than the Sahara.

It needs to be burned to the ground, not relocated.

No, the Heinken tent was in the 21+ area.

I'm 24, but I've been going to Coachella since I was 18.. I don't really how 21+ would be an improvement. I really like that is all ages. I've don't think I've seriously even bought a beer at Coachella.. $7 or $8 bucks for a beer? Sorry, I used to sneak in a flask and this year I just brought in whole water bottles full of whiskey or just drank at the campsite.

Where was this tent? Or are you guys talking about the beer garden?

PotVsKtl

It's the dome in the beer garden. It's loud and basically useless unless you just want to pump your fist while you drink a beer. If they let us out of the fucking alcohol prison like adults it wouldn't be necessary.

I was pissed they moved the beer garden from behind the sahara to behind the mojave. Drinking out back of the sahara was great last year.

I didn't set foot in that main stage beer garden all weekend. It's too douchey. Instead, I drank my paycheck in sucky beer over at the Mojave Beer Garden, and caught some really good sets while doing so.
