i dont know if anyone else caught their set but they put on a hell of a show despite having to conflict with Jay Z and Deadmau5.

I totally agree with TomAz. One of the best sets this festival has ever seen. Most people missed out.

This set was effing unbelievable. So good, so loud, so needed.

John Lydon dude. And this set was amazing. I don't think I fully understood how talented this band was. Lydon commanded we better open our fucking ears and it was beautiful.

i catched the last 5-6 songs (ran to the outddor right after fever ray) and was fucking incredible. john was ready to come back after the show was over and even told the roadies to put the equipment back on stage, but they wouldn't let them go over the curfew.

This show weirded me out but in a good way.
I wasn't expecting it to be so deep.

The only letdown was I wanted Lydon to trash talk on Jay-Z more.

PiL won my heart over for sure. The sound was dialed in great & so was Lydon.

I got a really good spot, could only watch for a few songs. I enjoyed what I saw though.

Don't we already have a PiL thread? Ah, no matter. Great set! My fave of the weekend.

"Fuck all things Republican. Especially Palin, because she's really fuckable!"

All in all, easily tied for one of my favorite acts of the weekend.

He was one of my must see's. They were everything I expected. He's funny, passionate and an insightful writer and performer. And yeah, he was THE sex pistol!!

My man wasn't so into him. He said he sounded like a decapitated chicken. So, I let him wander off.

God dammit.

I didnt try to catch it because of the underwhelming footage from Nokia. :(

Sigh.

This set was AMAZING.

I had no idea Jay-Z even EXISTED, or that it was 1am when the set ended--I felt like my brain had been totally reconfigured (that's a huge compliment coming from me).

AHHHHH such a great show!

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Oh wait. I would have had to miss Fever Ray.
Damn. This was just a cruel situation all around. :(

Fever Ray vs. PiL was a very tough conflict.

But as soon as PiL went from "This is not a love song" straight into "Poptones", I had totally forgotten about who else was playing.

After the set, everyone in the first 10 rows was screaming for more for a good 15 minutes straight.

Damn, that set was just so damn good.

It was incredible, simply put. My third favorite show of the weekend, and I daresay I'm glad that I left Fever Ray a tad early to catch about five songs from them.

I've never seen a man of Johnny's age bring that kind of drama, veracity, and energy.

for anyone interested, just noticed on itunes that they have a live PiL set available from the "live concerts from all things considered" podcast. 2 hours from the 9:30 club in D.C., I believe.

This recording does exist - I ended up going to the DC show. It was fantastic.

so we need a bootleg of this thing

If you check the bootleg thread in the music lounge, it is there. It is a webcast audio rip and it sounds really good.
