Important VIP Wristband Question

Facts:
VIP Wristbands are plastic, they cost $350 or so, and you need a GA cloth band to get into the festival.

Question:
If you were able to get into the venue without a GA cloth band, and you applied a plastic VIP wristband after you got into the fest, would you be able to walk into VIP?

Or, does security require both bands to enter VIP area?
