Hi guys

I need some help with the start of the festival. Friday has alot of acts im dying to see towards the end but im struggling to find anything I will enjoy until yeasayer at 4:20.

Can someone please recommend me some things as I dont want to start off the festival on a low, id love to get right into the music and dance around like and idiot.

To help your recomendations ill be seeing the bands fever ray, passion pit, vampire weekend, them crooked vultures and she & him.

See Sleigh Bells right before Yeasayer.

I'd say Kate-Miller-Heidke, but 12:30 is pretty early. Also, Deer Tick.

If you like Them Crooked Vultures, you might like BARONESS, playing 2-2:45 in the Mojave

CALLE 13!!!!! i'm so surprised they're on the main stage, but they totally deserve it. if you like to dance and jump, this is the place.

check out videos/songs on youtube to:

"atrévete-te-te""
"la cumbia de los aburridos"
"tango del pecado"
"no hay nadie como tú"
"fiesta de locos"
"bienvenidos a mi mundo"

yeah, they're in spanish, but the mc is full of positive silly energy and they have an 11 piece band - yay! definitely, my highlight of friday.

you might appreciate sleigh bells, too.

And just then, Calle 13 disappeared off the lineup with a "poof!"

I am very excited to see The Avett Brothers.

Love this song and video. Andy Daly is hilarious.

EXPLORE! My Coachella Fridays usually start with wandering around and seeing the art for a good chunk of the day before any sets I want to see. You even wander into a set you like, sometimes.
