Thursday will be spent on the campgrounds setting up and partying, Wednesday I will be running around LA getting everything I need and hopefully going to see Deerhunter, Tuesday I am flying to LA, going to pick up my tickets, and then sleeping as my flight leaves VA at 6:30 in the fucking AM. So for some of us, especially me, today is the only day I have where I can formulate a gameplan, play phone/text/IM/facebook tag with people to sort out what sets to watch together, when to meetup, etc.

if your plans on what bands to see can't be that fluid, you're going to have conflicts, definitely.

I was disappointed by her set a few weeks ago. Great tracks but the ability to mix was nonexistent as well as a flow to the set. Really looking forward to Daedelus so if he conflicts with Fever Ray and MAH is on after I will be bummed. But yah for you!

One may not have time to listen to these artists because of errands or spending time with their friends. Or one may not have access to the internet/the artist's music. One may live out of state, for instance, and will spend a good chunk of a day traveling.

Ditto. I just think he probably wasn't headliner worthy and people were much more psyched than they probably should have been. EDC is legend material, but he couldn't carry the built up emotion and expectation, as his music just doesn't do that. If you listen to any of his tunes alone, such as Punk, Hope, Prix Choc, Fast track, Am I Wrong, Scratched, etc. in the proper context you'll appreciate them more than what he put on that night.

Comparison - I don't think Kaskade could close the Sahara either. There's a time and place for his music, but as a closer it wouldn't work well. JMHO.

I work in the prepress department at a large printing company. We print the set times schedules for a large radio station festival every summer. They have all the set times ready about two weeks before, when they give us the files. They usually make changes until about a week before, which is when we start printing. I'm sure they have all the set times, and they will be finalized and made public in the next 24hrs.

i never played the gamecube version. i loved the original, was too turned off by the controllers to get into N64, really really liked the DS version, and i absolutely can't stand the one for Wii... you just don't have precise control anymore! Can not do it. But Gamecube sounds intriguing.

I've got an SNES emulator on my laptop and a usb controller.. tools for time distruction. But i wonder how a gamecube emulator would fare.
