My friends and I need a place to stay but every hotel and motel is booked. any ideas what i could do? im willing to stay an hour away from coachella. Does anyone know where I can find a hotel or motel? I was thinking of sleeping in my car but dont know where i would shower....I need help Please! i really wanna go!

Sleep in your car at walmart.
Shower in the campground showers before the festival. + You get to party with us campers!
Anyone with a festival wrist band can go into camping this year.

The TA Truckstop on Dillon Road. It's afew miles east of Jefferson St. headed towards Coachella. (#760-775-1310) They have fast food, a general type store, and showers. It's considered a travel center so you'll see overnight RVs and I'm sure weary travelers wanting to rest before driving on.

This actually isn't a bad idea, although I'd get away from the Indio Walmart; I am pretty sure the cops troll that parking lot for car sleepers.
Try driving further into the Palm Desert area and find a Walmart or a Target or even a nice quiet street there instead.
