I have a caravan of some 50 people meeting between 12-1pm at the Wal Mart parking lot in Indio on Thursday. I'll for sure buy some Navy SEAL tofu and sliders if I see you.

Edit: there will also be a ton of vegans/vegetarians at the fest.

edit 2: I didnt see your full menu until just now. Hell yes, count me in. Do you have any items in mind specifically for Coachella that aren't on there?

Hi- Parking lot at Walmat noon- great tip- thanks so much. Should be out there by noon on Thursday. Lets touch base closer to then-working on the menu, definitly things that are not on the menu-pork belly sliders, cubanos and much more but will have tofu, veggie burgers, etc.
Yes, we are going to try to get near the camp ground area. Please friend request on Facebook - so you can keep up with Twitter Facebook posts.
Thanks again for all the feedback-we are excited!

Same. Several more will be meeting at Ralph's locations to meet up. You might want to hit those on Thursday. Other than that, I think you'll be lucky just lingering around the Coachella grounds.

You should also utilize your Twitter feed to post your location while you move. Most Coachella visitors will have their cell phones on for updates of things happening around the area.

Have never been to the festival- so not sure what kind of craziness we have to get through to park on the sides of the roads around the camp grounds. Please look out for posts, updates. If you have friends at hotels- please let us know.

I'm going to guess your best bet is the hotel parkings lots and the meet up places like Walmart and Target. I would be shocked if they let you into the parking areas at the fest itself or the camping areas. The vendors would throw a shit fit and for good reason.

Yes, sure you are right-would not expect to get in the parking areas - lots of empty lots within a mile or so- hoping we can find a good spot.
Trying to reach out to some hotels- please send suggestions, if you have them.

VIP will be parking at the corona yacht club, but non-VIP will be parking at Spotlight 29 Casino and catching cabs the rest of the way... just a thought.

Dude, I am very familiar with the Kogi truck, and that food is not gourmet. It is good, but good food is not the same as gourmet food.

Similarly, I would call the Poutine from KFC in Metrotown Mall very good. Not gourmet, but very good.

Gourmet= 2.of or characteristic of a gourmet, esp. in involving or purporting to involve high-quality or exotic ingredients and skilled preparation: gourmet meals; gourmet cooking.
3.elaborately equipped for the preparation of fancy, specialized, or exotic meals: a gourmet kitchen.

By definition, these trucks could very well make gourmet food. But I agree that my use of the word may have been loose.

Im not a dessert guy, but i like the way that looks. I also cooked at a fancy(maybe not as fancy as yours) restaurant for a while. Where does he cook? Let me see a menu.

Yes- using the term in light- you are correct Fancy- I am communicating for my beau, the Chef- he prefers to not us that word either, but rather use "real". Check out his web site: www.davedejour.com. We love connecting with fellow foodies-its all about the food!

So now we're literally arguing semantics, and I think we're basically in agreement. I should also point out that I'm not opposed to eating food just because its from a truck. The Togi truck is bad ass, and a place I used to work had an In n Out truck come once a month. Obviously, that was also bad ass.

He works for some big shot restaurant in Dallas. I forget what its called, but I'll get him to send me a menu. I don't actually work in the culinary field at all. My name just comes from this bad ass song that Prince wrote a while back...

You should stop by Lake Cahuilla. It's 5 minutes from the festival. All the spots and overflow areas are sold out so there will be lots of hungry campers. There is nowhere close by to get food so I'm sure this would be welome!. Hope to see you there!

There is a Mobil Gas station at the SE corner of the 111 and Jefferson St. That's the last stop for lots of people before you get into sit in traffic flowing to the Festival. Hundreds of Coachella Lovers stop there to get last minute items. It would be a great spot to set up in the morning and early afternoon. Or in the lot just next to them.
I'd visit you everyday for some sliders.

Hello-

thanks to all for your ideas - much appreciated! Unfortunatly-due to the co
plexities of obtaining sales permits and the risks with "winging it" - we are not going to be able to make it out to Cochella. Very bummed, but do not want to risk the biz and hope to go through the chanels and actually be a vendor next year! If you are in the San Diego area, stop by and see us!!
Have a great time.
