I only have a 400 Watt power converter that I am using in my car. I want to bring an extension cord to power my griddle. Will my breakfast be successful or will I blow a fuse or something?

Most power inverters have a "do not plug extension or surge protector" warning on it.

haven't took it out since last summer. you're probably right though.

well i could always just place the griddle on a chair right up next to my car.

just looking to see if anyone has tried this or if it would work. i rather not upgrade to 1000 watt

Your inverter should have a constant watt usage which you need to make sure you arent using more than. It is most likely around 2/3 of the total output of your inverter.

*edit* nevermind, i see you have 400 watts of constant output. You will be fine and can probably power a few more things if you wanted.

after a little research I guess my Black & Decker GR100 Family-Sized Electric Nonstick Griddle is 1500 watts so I will have to upgrade to a larger inverter converter or whatever the fuck its called.

Id say stop by WalMart on the way and buy a gas one... its not worth blowing fuses or buying a more expensive inverter. When your done unplug the gas and take the grill home with u

You could bring the grill, and buy a small bottle of propane at the wallmart.

*edit* beat me to it.

Hey my friends and I will be in the campground with a nice BIG propane grill and a (nearly) unlimited supply of propane to grill with! We will be flying a large maroon and gold ASU flag above our camping spot and we have a canopy with a blue top if you happen to find us or be nearby! I know it is a long shot but thought I would offer!!! :-) Wanted to get in on the Thursday cookout but we won't be in until like 10 Thursday probably....

You better weigh your bags before you leave Neighbor. You sound like a heavy packer and the airline fees are ridiculous.

have you been to the 2010 coachella cookout thread? We will have several full size grills and 17lbs bottles of propane. We'll be having a pot luck thursday afternoon.

If you want to stop by look for a big pirate flag on a 25' pole :D Bring something to grill and/or beer
