I had a nightmare last night that I did this and amidst crowd surfing lost my keys.

Bring an extra set just incase and keep the keys in a safe hiding spot in the tent.

The lost and found at Coachella is amazing. People drinking and dancing and getting up and down off the ground lose an amazing amount of stuff.

I dropped my keys like a dumbass by the lockers and didn't realize it for about 6 hours. Luckily, some extremely fantastic person left them with the locker guy. Huzzah!

Everyone can just give all their keys to me. I'll keep them safe in my pack.

A piece of string or a lanyard, a belt loop, and a knot do wonders for not losing your keys. I do this every day because I grew tired of paying locksmiths to let me in my car.

Joke all you want, guys, but this sounds like great advice. I'm driving a rental, though. Do rental companies have spare keys? They've got to, right?

2007 my friend lost his keys. It was BEYOND lame being in the parking area waiting for the locksmith at 2 AM.

Trust me, they do.

It's also a good idea to tie or safety pin your locker key (if you're getting one) to your clothes or bag. It's really easy for a little locker key to fall out while you're getting money out of your pocket... and then you're out the $20 deposit.

I leave everything in my locker except my phone and some money. And the locker key.

turn your keys into lost and found yourself at the beginning of the day.

Haha, win!

I actually spent a couple hours freaking out about losing my keys one year. Spent a ton of time frantically searching the grass around where I was sitting, even asked lame ass security if I could borrow a flashlight to look, which they wouldn't. Finally go a hold of my sister and she reminded me that I had given her the keys earlier in the day so she could run out to the car and get some more beers. Yeah, I was drunk and braindead.

Hah! That's actually pretty genius. Won't do it, but lost and found at Coachella is amazing. Lost my keys two years in a row and they were waiting for me at Lost & Found by the time I realized I had lost them. Hopefully I learned my lesson this year.

Oh um.. the fact that you would be wearing zippered cargo shorts. yuck.

I usually leave keys and wallet buried at the bottom of my backpack and problem solved. Otherwise, if they're in my pocket I do a pocket pat check every couple minutes. I've lost things enough in my life not to be a little paranoid now.

ding ding ding ding ding. winner.

my backpack has a short string inside one of the pockets with little clip on the end for car keys. that's where they go and stay.

take with you only the actual car key, not the whole ring. Keep it in this along with your money around your waist

I LOVE these things for traveling. They're like $5 at Target.

i also have a belt like this, which is great for storing stuff and not even thinking about it

I got that one at a local army surplus store
