I have the Pete and Pete dvds, a great buy from the nick website. I also really like Legends, I've been watching it constantly on the nick game show channel. The best part of it is that when the kids lose in the first round, they get something like a bag of tootsie rolls. I voted for SYS though, as it is the only choice that I knew the whole theme song for.
Great thread btw.

What about that show where kids played video games, and the winning team got to go into that foggy room, and then they were in the video game. all I remember is that some guy named Phil Lammar (who always wore really crazy shirts) was the host. And yeah... Rocko's Modern Life is so classic. What about the Angry Beavers?! www.yourtvlinks.com has alot of these shows.

samiksha
02-25-2007, 07:51 PM
no, but i remember the good burger movie. good film.

and yeah, i did think ren and stimpy was creepy and gross. i remember the episode when for some reason ren had the skin on stimpys butt (or maybe the fat from it?) transfered to him so he was all ripped and awesome and then became very famous with beautiful women surrounding him and stimpy was serving him tropical drinks and at that point i said "enough is enough"

rampaige
02-25-2007, 08:07 PM
Remember the super high detail shots on Ren and Stimpy? There was usually at least one per episode...it was a single scene that was really well drawn and very detailed, usually of something gross, like a close up of a booger.

That being said, I liked Ren and Stimpy. "It's log, it's log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood..."

Aside from that you missed pre-elmo Sesame Street, before big bird got the HIV. You missed the exsquisite joy that was The Muppet Show before bedtime. I used to get so high and watch Bill Nye. I miss him too, well not him but those days. PBS was where it was at. Right after Bill Nye would air Yan can cook would be on.......mmmmmmm.....Then Rick Steves show would come on and show me all about travling Europe, I really think that guy knows his stuff I even bought his dvds. The highlight of my PBS pot days was when my buddy was graduating from the Colorado Institute of Art, Yan Can cook gave the commencement address. I tried to get as close as possible so that if cooked anything I could get free samples, but alas nothing. I did get to shake his hand so I was pretty jazzed.

jackstraw94086
02-27-2007, 08:42 AM
I met Bill Nye once when I was in college. He was coming out of one of the lecture halls with a small entourage (he's an alumn). At the time some idiot pranksters had put a pumpkin up on top of our clocktower. Someone pointed it out to him and he asked us if we could calculate how fast the pumpkin would be falling by the time it hit the ground. Someone behind him said "we learned that in high school!". He just kept looking up at the top of the tower and said "you sure it wasn't kindergarten?"

Bill Nye's kind of a smartass.

But the things that last forever are our dear friendships.

Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts
And when we think about you (This thing came apart)

Think Anawanna. Speak Anawanna. Live Anawanna -- Ugh!"

I know it's not Nick but I REALLY miss Fraggle Rock.

And yeah, Pinwheel.

Those take me back to a better place.

One of my teenage dilemma's was Moose vs. Lisa. You Can't Do That On Television was, without a doubt, my favorite show from 83'ish to 85.

Seriously?...

No "AHH! Real Monsters!"?

No "Rocko's Modern Life"?

No "Invader Zim"?

No "Hey Arnold!"?

No "The Angry Beavers"?

...You sadden this cartoon fan greatly...

I refused to vote in this poll for the same reason.
